"What's going on here"
I almost always know who did it but this book kept me wondering and changinig my mind several times
"You will laugh and cry"
The rude awakening
The main character was my favorite because once she found out what was really going on ,she handled her business .
She kept it fast moving and perky
I don't quite agree about how the book ended. Based on the authors ending the tag line would be love conquers all.
I would have enjoyed it even more if at the end she was alone for a while. I believe you need space between relationships, get to reconnect with the essence of who you are and what you want. She went from her mothers house to her husband's house. The short time in the cabin was not enough. She found a new love interest while she was out there, but by the end of the book they are moving in together .nothing wrong with finding love again but no moving in so quickly.
"Unexpected"
Very unexpected plot
The Shack . The devotion of the parent in getting answers to what happened the their child.
Her performance was wonderful ,she made the story come alive. I'd like to hear more from her.
Once I understood what was happening, yes it was emotional.
This is a must read .hope to read more from this author.
"Buckle your seat-belts your in for a bumpy ride"
We meet Carl and his cast of characters in Keeper of Lost Causes he has just solved a cold case that had many road blocks from outside as well as inside the precinct ,never the less he gets the job done. In this new case we get a new character who is just as quirky as the janitor but equally as good in doing her job . They are up and running on a new cold case that involves the upper crust many twists and turns , very edge of your seat action and again you won't want to put this book down until the last page. I can't wait for book three .
"Traumatized cop not dead but buried"
The beginning of department is a way to keep this policemen out of the way .the precinct is given money for the start up of this department Q for cold cases. They start the department but they failed to take into account the officer they have put in charge,at first his plan is to just sit around and do nothing but a cast of surrounding character refuse to let him rot . They peek his interest in a cold case and he is off and running causing trouble up stairs even tho his office is in the basement . He is given a man whose job it is to keep the basement clean but he turns out to be more than just a janitor he has deductive powers we don't know anything about him he himself is a mystery .Once you pick this book up you won't want to put it down until the end. Oh Yeah it's the beginning of a trilogy, can't wait to read books two and three.
"Bess is before her time"
I love Bess in her day women lived very sheltered lives ,She is the exception ,she is a woman who has a mind of her own. She is an independent thinker and can add two and two . If I were in trouble I'd want her in my corner.
"The inner workings of an Italian American family"
In book 2 of a trilogy the family comes together skeletons come out of the closet and love is in the air can't wait for book 3
"The family business"
This was a wonderful story about siblings and resentment. In this first book of a trilogy we get to know the family can't wait for book number 2
"Opposites attract"
Sweet love story .starts out as an arrangement but quickly turns into something else. Nice ending
"What a bite"
Very fast pace filled with action and its a nail biter. I couldn't stop listening . Can't wait to read #2 in series
"Mega Church intrigue"
This was laugh out loud ,heart breaking and serious .I was at the edge of my listening seat
Loved the narration style of several voices made this book come alive
