"Family Ties"
An interesting story with a predictable family twist. Easy reading. Not too much thrill
"I Alex Cross"
Fast moving, gory mystery story depicting the wonders and glories of Alex Cross. Not overrly impressed with Patterson's writing.
"Heart of the Matter"
Interesting take on a professional getting involved with his client and its consequences. Predictable ending.
"Southern Lights"
An intriguing, Danielle Steel-like novel with a happy ending. Interesting detective work, nicely done.
"The Help"
A heartwarming story of life and prejudices in the deep south in the 1960's. Thank goodness, we've come a long way...
"Bloodroot"
An interesting view of a community of people living a rudimentary live in the not-too-distant past.
"A Dog's Purpose"
A heartwarming, sensitive story. Every dog lover must read this. You will appreciate your best friend in many different ways. I liked the book so much, I gave several copies to friends as gifts.
"Freedom: A Novel"
A total bore! Franzen's character articulation is mediocre. The novel drags on and on and on. The story could be told in a lot fewer words. I listen to the book in my car and the narrator's voice is so dull I have to turn it off so as not to fall asleep. Too much hype over this book. I read it because of Oprah's ravings. Very disappointing.
