  • The Wisdom of Crowds: Why the Many Are Smarter Than the Few

In this endlessly fascinating book, New Yorker columnist James Surowiecki explores a deceptively simple idea that has profound implications: large groups of people are smarter than an elite few, no matter how brilliant. Groups are better at solving problems, fostering innovation, coming to wise decisions, even predicting the future.

G Barth says: "Very worthwhile listen!"
"Lengthy, and at times, boring to listen to..."
    Overall

After reading the brief information about the audio book and the positive reviews from the readers I eagerly decided to buy it.
Unfortunately for me, the content is simply not related to my level of reading (listening).
I only listened to halve way, of the first downloaded audio book; therefore I am not in a position to comment much; The little I listened to, it dealt with corporations, government agencies. Unfortunately I did not grasp the over all meaning or relation of the information. It was lengthy and boring to listen to.
I decided to pass on, to listen to my other purchased audio books.
In conclusion, I will definitely leave this audio book to listen to it again, in another more appropriate time, in the future... Maybe then, I will come to understand and appreciate its content.
For now I will have to rate it two stars.

"An Excelent Audio Book to Have in our Colection"
    Overall

When I saw this audio book, I was not quiet sure of what to expect from it. Based upon its title, it seamed to be just one more of those "Self" "How to" books.
I listened to the audible preview, which gave me a positive peak. This one, had something special. I bought it, and all I have to say is:
I simply enjoyed every bit of it.
Not a long to listen audio book. Short, but straight to the main points.
Very insightful, as to how we should approach and live our lives to the fullest, and much more insightful considerations for us to ponder upon, and act, as part our our daily routine in order to enrich our day to day life.
As I mentioned above, it is a worthwhile audio book to have in our collection.
I also liked the author reading of her work.
    Thanks

Mark Twain once observed, "A lie can get halfway around the world before the truth can even get its boots on." His observation rings true: urban legends, conspiracy theories, and bogus public-health scares circulate effortlessly. Meanwhile, people with important ideas (business people, teachers, politicians, journalists, and others) struggle to make their ideas "stick". In this indispensable guide, we discover that sticky messages of all kinds draw their power from the same six traits.

I enjoyed listening to this audio book and its content.
Though I was expecting a bit more... but then again, it is only my expectations after all. The important is, the audio book was worth the money spent!
I am not going to write more, for the above Publisher's Summary, gives a good idea of the audio book contents.

  • Sterling Biographies: Albert Einstein: The Miracle

Featuring kid-friendly explanations of the scientific principles, this compelling biography follows Einstein from his childhood through his early career struggles, and on to the theoretical breakthroughs and groundbreaking writings that won him the Nobel Prize. Equally important, we get a complete portrait of the man, who - deeply affected by the Holocaust - dedicated his life to pacifism and equal rights for all.

Oliver says: "A short, nice biography"
    "Fair Biography"
    Overall

I bought this audio book out of curiosity, to know more about Albert Einstein, his life and his work.
I think it did it in a reasonable way, covering his personal and scientific career, though this last aspect, turned out to be boring for me to listen to... Never the less necessary, to fit in to the book over all context.
Over all I rate it a 3 Star

    Overall

It is packed with interesting, reviling information, on woman behaviour and body language signs most of us men, ignorantly do not pay attention to, or are not even aware of its critical meaning and importance on interrelation contact.
Author, narrator Leil Lowndes, makes it even more enjoyable to listen to, with her vivid reading.
I will unquestionably rate it a 5 Star due to its practical content and for the way the narrator presented her audio book to us, the listener.

15 thriller masters. 1 masterful thriller! Former war crimes investigator Harold Middleton possesses a previously unknown score by Frederic Chopin. But he is unaware that, within it's handwritten notes, lies a secret that now threatens the lives of thousands of Americans. As he races from Poland to the U.S. to uncover the mystery of the manuscript, Middleton will be accused of murder, pursued by federal agents, and targeted by assassins.

    BSquared67 says: "A rollicking thriller"
    "Great Project, Great Thriller! Congratulations!"
    Overall

It is a great novel to listen to, full of mystery and action.
Being my first audio thriller, I have to admit it was a bit unfamiliar experience.
I definitely intend to listen to it again, a second time in the near future, in order to appreciate more audio trillers.
Mean time, I am more comfortable reading the good "old" book.

No wonder it's so hard to lose weight, our bodies are designed to keep weight on at all costs; it's a matter of survival. It's embedded in our DNA. Our diet has changed dramatically over the past ten thousand years, but our genetic blueprint has not, our bodies are not designed to process the types of food we are fed today.

Since its completion in 1971, the New American Standard Bible has been widely embraced as "the most literally accurate English translation" from the original languages. Millions of people, students, scholars, pastors, missionaries, and laypersons alike, trust the NASB, learning from it and applying it to the challenges of their daily lives. Discover what the original text says, word for word.

"Good to Have Bible on Audio"
    Overall

Having read the Bible launching it on audio is a great way to get to know its content in a different pleasant perspective largely thanks to the excellent narrator Mr. Dick Hill.
The advantage of the original paper Bible is its easy quick reference consulting, and it has the feel; of having in our hands a book. A Bible! Nothing will ever replace that!
The advantage of audio Bible is it is easy to listen any time you want and easy portability, just a simple MP3 player or mobile phone will do it!
For those who hate to read no more excuses for not knowing the bible.
