Hard to stop listning.
Very easy to feel for Marc Seidman,
Excellent book, I'll have to try another of byHarlan Coben.
This is an interesting history lesson. One of the presidents that I knew nothing about. Definitely worth the time to listen.
If you ever wondered why anyone would sign up to be a terrorist, this book is for you. It was better than I hoped for.
Lots of twist and unexpected turns to keep you interested. Just what I was looking for to get away from it all.
For those who love Reacher- the ultimate tough guy- like I do, this is the best one I have read so far. It was so fast paced that I could not put it down and it was not at all predictable.
For those who know some world history, but know little about the man who's empire was bigger than all others, this book explains it. Very interesting.
This book was full of action and impossible to predict what was going happen next. I finished it in less than one week.
This was not only a history lesson, but also like a detailed newspaper article. From the view of those few who saw it coming, it slowly explained how the meltdown was unavoidable since banks were gambling with such poor quality loans. Subprime is an understatement. The book also makes you wonder why the government did not do more break up several of the banking groups who caused the debacle instead of just bailing them out.
Well worth the time to read if you ever wanted to know what really happened.
I quit listening a couple of times and considered returning the book. Then I would go back and listen some more. The story was good, but it went off on long tangents too often that did not add to the story.
I have a love/hate relationship with books that I can't put down. I love to find them, but hate that I don't want to do anything else. This is one of those books. What else matters?
This story is so plausible and historically accurate that readers can't tell if it is true or not. Highly recommended to either history buffs or fiction readers.
