A Q&A interview between Gordon Ramsay and Trevor Dolby about Gordon's forthcoming autobiography, Humble Pie.

    K. Pascal says: "Love me some Gordon Ramsay!"
    "A Bit of Fun"
    Overall

This is an entertaining and fun introduction to Gordon's autobiography. Gordon responds with generosity, wit and humour to the interviewers probes. If you enjoy this you will enjoy his book.

America is a barren landscape of smoldering ashes, devoid of life except for those people still struggling to scratch out some type of existence. Amidst this destruction, a father and his young son walk, always toward the coast, but with no real understanding that circumstances will improve once they arrive. Still, they persevere, and their relationship comes to represent goodness in a world of utter devastation.

    "Road too long"
    Overall

I found this book boring and tedious, nothing really happened, it simply moved on down the road at a less than leisurely pace encountering a range of baddies where things happened somewhat predictably. The dialogue was minimal and superficial. I would rather visit the dentist than read this again.

Lee says: "Not action-oriented, as it claims"
    "Brief and Uninspiring"
    Overall

This is a brief and uninspiring look at Nathaniel Branden's approach to self-esteem development delivered through the use of composite and one dimensional case studies. It lacks depth, concrete descriptions of ways to develop skills or thought processes to assist with self esteem development. Might be a useful theoretical introduction for the novice therapist.

This is Gordon Ramsay's autobiography, the first time he has told the full story of how he became the world's most famous and infamous chef. He also discusses his difficult childhood, his brother's heroin addiction, and his failed first career as a footballer.

    Wes says: "Humble Ramsay"
    "Now it makes sense"
    Overall

Understanding where Gordon Ramsay came from makes it easier to understand his amazing uncompromising determination to strive for the best and his addiction to work. It was interesting to find that while Gordon's adaption to his father's abuse saw him rise to the top, his brother sank into the depths of heroin addiction. Gordon has managed to tell his story without undue sentimentality or too much bravado. Can't wait to see what he achieves in the next 20 years.
