On board a ship bound for Natal, adventurer Allan Quatermain meets Sir Henry Curtis and Captain John Good. His new friends have set out to find Sir Henry's younger brother, who vanished while seeking King Solomon's legendary diamond mines in the African interior. By strange chance, Quatermain has a map to the mines, drawn in blood, and agrees to join the others on their perilous journey.

I loved the story and the narrator was really great (other than butchering the pronunciation of the afrikaans words) but I really struggled with the volume of the recording. It was way too low, it became very cumbersome to constantly have to struggle to hear the narration. Other than the volume issue I can highly recommend it

Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

The narration is really great - top notch. I was not impressed with the story to be honest. Different strokes for different folks - but I thought the characters were not believeable - especially the male characters.

Kevin Mitnick was the most elusive computer break-in artist in history. He accessed computers and networks at the world’s biggest companies—and however fast the authorities were, Mitnick was faster, sprinting through phone switches, computer systems, and cellular networks. He spent years skipping through cyberspace, always three steps ahead and labeled unstoppable.

Kevin Mitnick is a fascinating character and this book takes you on the wild journey of his life. The narration is excellent. One of the best audio books I've encountered

They were just kids when they stumbled upon the horror of their hometown. Now, as adults, none of them can withstand the force that has drawn them all back to Derry, Maine, to face the nightmare without end, and the evil without a name.

    "Fantastic narration, excellent story"
    Overall

Firstly, Steven Webber is incredible, one of the best narrators I've come across in my life. He brings the book to life and I just wish he narrates more Stephen King. Steven - please do "The Stand"!

Secondly, this is one of King's best novels. The horrible movie made never did this book justice. King manages to keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved every second and can recommend this to any Stephen King fan - you will not be disappointed.
