I am a huge Nora Roberts/JD Robb fan and have read them all. This was the first book I did not like. The topic of a pedophile criminal was hard to take and her continued failure to catch him was even worse...this was a dark book. Although, I hear often of these criminals in the news... I would have liked the suffering of the victims and her main character to end sooner. I love the suspense in her other books and know that there will be twists and turns in any Nora Roberts book; however, the last chapter of this book was not even a good/happy one as expected. Really a darker venture in writing for JD Robb. On a positive note, the narrator was very good.

I have always been a fan of Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I have listened to all her previous books and loved every one. Not this one; however, it just goes on and on with nothing to say and the characters are not likable. I just gave up mid way. I could not make myself listen to another word. The narrator was fine. It was the writing that was terrible. What were you thinking SEP? This is a recycled old book that should have stayed buried.
