When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

What disappointed you about Fifty Shades of Grey?

I should have listened to other reviewers and stayed away. I only got 2 hours in and was bored out of my mind. I agree with everyone about the narrator. The male voices were terrible. It was painful to listen to. I somehow lost my spot and could not listen to parts twice to find where I was so I gave up and took it off my ipod.

What could E L James have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I couldn't get all the way through it. I guess I would have to say make the beginning more attention grabbing.

How could the performance have been better?

    New narrator.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I was very disappointed and mad at myself for listening to the hype. I should have researched more before I used a credit on it.
