"A woman who keeps to her word"
Shocking, riveting, emotional.
There are so many I can't choose just one.
I thought the reader was excellent. Into the story without going over the top.
Milla is a woman who when she makes a promise she sticks to it. There were a few moments when she could have broke promises but never did. That is a strong woman.
I was incredibly compelled by the characters in this book. I loved how different everyone was and what made them click. I know that this will be one that I will read over again.
"A memerable performance."
The reader, Kate Fleming, was incredible. At first I didn't think I would like here but she made the book.
Match Me if You Can was pretty close. Same author so she does a good job with the male/female relationship.
I loved the say Ren and Isabel talked with each other. The gentle banter was wonderful and Ms. Fleming read it very well.
Breath in the Chaos.
The book wasn't what I was expecting and became a pleasant surprise. Not all of the authors books are this good so I am glad I listened to the reviews written.
"A favorite from Howard."
Honestly I didn't care for the reader of this story but loved the story.
The banter between Sam and Jane.
I hated the accents that she gave to the people and the way she made the law enforcement sound.
The friendship between the four woman was wonderful.
I thought that this was one of Howard's best. I liked the way the characters meshed together. I liked the scrappiness of Jane and how she was willing to stand up for what she believed in.
"Just OK"
I liked the relationship and banter between Daisy and the cop.
I liked the book but thought that it was kind of an anticlimactic ending. I found it interesting how she put a little bit in there about the Mayor's wife at the end.
"Can I be her?"
I would. I like all the characters and I thought that the story was good.
I have listened to quite a few of Linda Howard's books and this is probably my second favorite to far. The story is good and so are the characters.
I have not listened to Kate Forbes but I thought she did a good job with this.
All for the Job.
I liked that this book kept moving. It wasn't repetitive like one of her other books. It was also unpredictable and kept me on my toes.
"It ended too soon."
I would recommend it however it is not one of my favorites.
I wish it had continued once Joseph and Lanka found each other.
I'm not sure if I had an absolute favorite.
There is so much more that could have been written. Personally this book does not compare with "All But My Life" or "The Book Thief". However it is okay.
"Amazing"
In a heartbeat.
I'm not sure if there is another book that compares.
I liked all of the characters. They were all so interesting with great personality. The relationship between the two main characters was so incredible. If only more people who are sick could feel that way about each other.
It made me do all of the above and some.
This was such an incredible book. I am glad that it took the other so long to write it because time has done this book justice.
"Get on with it"
Not compared to her other books.
I would have included more about Brad.
Joyce bean. Honestly she is so much better.
No. I'm surprised I finished the first one. The cover was the best part about the book.
It was the first book I have read by Linda Howard and Linda jones. I think Linda Howard should stay on her own.
"Not Effortless"
The reader is not very good and to be honest the characters are not interesting at all.
I feel like I am in the middle of someone's plain ordinary life. If read to get out of the ordinary. To be fair I have only listened to about four hours of the book and nothing is hooking me.
There wasn't much emotion in the read.
I had a hard time with the main character. I can only listen to someone who lacks self confidence and thinks that everyone else is better than them for so long. I don't mind a person being modest or plain but this girl found everyone else exotic and nothing about herself interesting. I found her high maintenance in a negative way.
"Incredibly Interesting"
The fact that it is unpredictable.
I thought that the reader for this book was incredible. She made the story even more interesting.
I think I like the parts when Charlie is working as the 911 disbatch officer. It made her seem real and caring
The book made me tense. Like I wanted to get in there and help her.
This book was an unexpected surprise with a phenomenal reader. I am not sure what made me choose it but I am glad that I did.
