Marlie Keen was trying to lead a quiet, ordinary life. She thought the knowing - the clairvoyance that allowed her to witness crimes as they happened - had been destroyed in the nightmare of her past. Then one night it returned with a vengeance, and she desperately needed to find someone to make it stop.

Where does Dream Man rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Enjoyed most of the storyline, until the end. Too sappy for me.

What three words best describe Phil Gigante’s voice?

Did well with male characters in the book, but just "down right painful" on the womens characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, not all in one sitting, needed a break from the whining voices.

When a Crow Indian acquaintance of Tomlinson’s asks him to help recover a relic stolen from his tribe, Doc Ford is happy to tag along - but neither Doc nor Tomlinson realize what they’ve let themselves in for. Their search takes them to the part of Central Florida known as Bone Valley, famous primarily for two things: A ruthless subculture of black-marketers who trade in illegal artifacts and fossils, and a multibillion-dollar phosphate industry whose strip mines compromise the very ground they walk on.

What disappointed you about Bone Deep?

    Everything but George Guidall

What was most disappointing about Randy Wayne White’s story?

Main character has no depth, boring story. Have not finished this book, and doubt I will. Kept plugging along but not worth wasting my time on.

What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

George is always good. Only listened as long as I did because of George Guidall.

Helene Wecker's dazzling debut novel tells the story of two supernatural creatures who appear mysteriously in 1899 New York. Chava is a golem, a creature made of clay, brought to life by a strange man who dabbles in dark Kabbalistic magic. When her master dies at sea on the voyage from Poland, she is unmoored and adrift as the ship arrives in New York Harbor. Ahmad is a jinni, a being of fire, born in the ancient Syrian Desert. Trapped in an old copper flask by a Bedouin wizard centuries ago, he is released accidentally by a tinsmith in a Lower Manhattan shop.

If you could sum up The Golem and the Jinni in three words, what would they be?

    Awesome, engrossing, fascinating

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

George Guidall is my FAVORITE narrator. He is why I chose this book, and as always, he was superb!

    Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book, thought it was very well written, each character was well defined and the narration was spot on!

Would you consider the audio edition of A Serpent's Tooth to be better than the print version?

What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?

George rocks Walt Longmire. If he doesn't narrate them, it won't be Walt.

    Any additional comments?

Finished this book yesterday, after listening to the whole set of books, I re-listened to the whole set again. Now the withdrawal is setting in. Best books I've listened to

These books always make me laugh out loud, not just a chuckle, but out and out laugh. Craig Johnson has a great sense of humor

    Any additional comments?

I'm glad I didn't let some of the negative reviews of this book stop me from downloading this one. I loved it as much as the others. I happen to like the thoughts that go through Walt Longmires mind. Its part of the humor.

Please keep writing more Walt Longmire books

Would you be willing to try another book from J. D. Robb? Why or why not?

I did and liked it less

What three words best describe Susan Ericksen’s performance?

Does a terrible job with the men voices.

Did Naked in Death inspire you to do anything?

Move onto a different series. Eve is suppose to be a strong woman, but comes a crossed as a stubborn adolescent. More frustrating than entertaining.

What would have made Relic better?

Book started slowly. Almost gave up several times. Way too much blather that was not necessary. Probably would have enjoyed the abridged version better. Kept having thought of The Poseidon Adventure, long drawn out adventure while cast is slowly killed off. Just not my cup of tea

Would you recommend Relic to your friends? Why or why not?

probably not. Will not continue the series. Glad I got this one on sale.

What aspect of David Colacci’s performance would you have changed?

I thought David Colacci did a fine job.

    Any additional comments?

    Pendergast was my favorite.

The Old West town of Lily, Arizona, is home to the Gilded Lily, a former theater…and bawdy house. These days, it offers theatrical productions geared to tourists, but the recent discovery of a skull, a real skull, among the props and costumes shakes everyone up. So, who do you call? The Krewe of Hunters, a special FBI unit of paranormal investigators. In this case, it’s agent Jane Everett. Jane’s also a talented artist who creates images of the dead as they once were. But the Krewe always works with local law enforcement, and here that means Sloan Trent, former Houston cop and now sheriff. His great-great-grandmother was an actress at the Gilded Lily…and she’s not resting in peace. Then more remains appear in the nearby desert. As they search for answers, using all the skills at their disposal, Jane and Sloan find themselves falling into danger — and into love.

What did you like best about The Night Is Watching? What did you like least?

Will finish the book even though it will be a struggle and because I have listened to all the previous books.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Jane is not a grandmother, but she sounds like one. As well as most of the other women. Usually Luke Daniels does a better job. He has narrated all but one of the krewe novels, but after this one I'm thinking he wants to get fired from doing them. Since he has done so many, it would have been nice if he could have remembered the voice he used for that person in a previous book.

What aspect of Tanya Eby’s performance would you have changed?

I like Tanya Eby, but did have to speed up my ipod to get through the book. Narration was a bit too slow.

Could you see Dying to Tell being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

wouldn't watch if it was a TV series
