Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Sunny, idyllic, and picture-perfect, until a tabloid news program airs a splashy segment about the community's only unsolved murder - the grisly stabbing of teenager Tara Mitchell and the subsequent disappearance of her two best friends, now thought to be long dead. In the years since the murders, several families have moved into the mansion where the crime occurred, each claiming that the dead girls still haunt the house.

probably not. Very slow and tedious. Too much of her thinking to herself. Boring

What aspect of Joyce Bean’s performance would you have changed?

Like Joyce Bean, but thought Joe could have sounded more male

For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.… A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of - but never arrested for - the murder of his soon-to-be-ex wife. He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though.

What would have made Whiskey Beach better?

I probably would have enjoyed the abridged version much better

Would you ever listen to anything by Nora Roberts again?

Yes I have older books/audible that I have re-listened to and probably will listen to again. May not buy any new books again, unless abridged

Did Luke Daniels do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Luke Daniels is the only reason I continued to listen to this book, he is always reliable.

I've listened to a lot of books narrated by Joyce Bean and like her pretty much, however her Boston accent for Alec was so bad, she really should not have even tried. It was distracting.

Hannah O'Brien, who grew up in the house and now runs it as a B and B, has always had a special ability to see a pair of resident ghosts. But when a man is murdered in the alley behind her place, she's dismayed when his spirit appears, too, asking for help. FBI agent Dallas Samson has a passionate interest in the murder, since the victim's a colleague whose death is connected to the smuggling ring known as Los Lobos - the wolves.

What did you like best about The Cursed? What did you like least?

Not sure the Bone Island Trilogy should have been mixed in with the Krewe. Almost felt like the writer is running out of new ideas.

Would you be willing to try another book from Heather Graham? Why or why not?

    probably

Did Luke Daniels do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Luke Daniels is pretty reliable as a narrator, but didn't really stay consistent with voices for Kelsey and Logan. Since he did not narrate the Bone Island Trilogy, I suppose he could not be expected to make Liam and David and Katie sound the same.

    Any additional comments?

This was a reliable book to listen to, but very predictable. Had it figured out fairly quickly, but still enjoyed it.

Cleaned up and successful now - though still dangerously good-looking - Rafe MacKade sets the town on fire…and tongues wagging. Not even lovely newcomer Regan Bishop is immune to his charms. Though Regan claims to not want to get involved with a rebel, Rafe's pretty sure that her reaction to their sizzling kisses suggests otherwise.

Would you be willing to try another book from Nora Roberts? Why or why not?

Yes, going to listen to all four brothers stories. Some of my favorite books are Nora Roberts books. Witness, Montana Skies, The Search.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Luke Daniels?

Luke Daniels does a decent job narrating, he is reliable, so I have listened to many books he has narrated.

    Any additional comments?

Laughed out loud several times, and altho the story was somewhat predictable.... I enjoyed listening and downloaded the other MacKade books.

Sheriff Walt Longmire had already rounded up a sizable posse of devoted readers when the A&E television series Longmire sent the Wyoming lawman’s popularity skyrocketing. Now, in Any Other Name, Walt is sinking into high-plains winter discontent when his former boss, Lucian Conally, asks him to take on a mercy case in an adjacent county. Detective Gerald Holman is dead and Lucian wants to know what drove his old friend to take his own life.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend the Longmire series as they are my favorite audio books.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

So similar to all of the other books. His daughter needs him and once again he's not really available

Did George Guidall do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Disappointed with Lucian voice. Since George Guidall has narrated all the Longmire books, you would think the voice would be the same. Sandy didn't sound the same either. Beginning of the book, Walt and Lucian sounded the same and I had a difficult time figuring out which person was supposed to be talking.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I finished the book, but won't listen to it again. Some of my favorite books I've listened to more than once.

If you’ve listened to books by Heather Graham before, how does this one compare?

Not as good as the first in the series, and that is not saying much. Not up to par with some of Ms Grahams better books.

Did Natalie Ross do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

yes she does a pretty good job differentiating the different characters.

Wayward Pines, Idaho, is quintessential small-town America — or so it seems. Secret Service agent Ethan Burke arrives in search of two missing federal agents, yet soon is facing much more than he bargained for. After a violent accident lands him in the hospital, Ethan comes to with no ID and no cell phone. The medical staff seems friendly enough, but something feels…off. As the days pass, Ethan’s investigation into his colleagues’ disappearance turns up more questions than answers. Why can’t he make contact with his family in the outside world? Why doesn’t anyone believe he is who he says he is? And what’s the purpose of the electrified fences encircling the town? Are they keeping the residents in? Or something else out? Each step toward the truth takes Ethan further from the world he knows, until he must face the horrifying possibility that he may never leave Wayward Pines alive…

Would you try another book from Blake Crouch and/or Paul Michael Garcia?

Maybe Paul Michael Garcia, don't know if I'd get another Blake Crouch.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Narrator was good.

    Any additional comments?

Wished that there had been some "spoilers" in the reviews so I didn't waste my time on this book. Just not my cup of tea AT ALL. After the first couple of hours I was so irritated I stopped listening. Then decided to fast forward to the end. If I had wasted 8 hours and 33 minutes of my time listening to this entire book FOR THAT ending, I might have had to scream.

When a Crow Indian acquaintance of Tomlinson’s asks him to help recover a relic stolen from his tribe, Doc Ford is happy to tag along - but neither Doc nor Tomlinson realize what they’ve let themselves in for. Their search takes them to the part of Central Florida known as Bone Valley, famous primarily for two things: A ruthless subculture of black-marketers who trade in illegal artifacts and fossils, and a multibillion-dollar phosphate industry whose strip mines compromise the very ground they walk on.

What disappointed you about Bone Deep?

    Everything but George Guidall

What was most disappointing about Randy Wayne White’s story?

Main character has no depth, boring story. Have not finished this book, and doubt I will. Kept plugging along but not worth wasting my time on.

What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

George is always good. Only listened as long as I did because of George Guidall.

Helene Wecker's dazzling debut novel tells the story of two supernatural creatures who appear mysteriously in 1899 New York. Chava is a golem, a creature made of clay, brought to life by a strange man who dabbles in dark Kabbalistic magic. When her master dies at sea on the voyage from Poland, she is unmoored and adrift as the ship arrives in New York Harbor. Ahmad is a jinni, a being of fire, born in the ancient Syrian Desert. Trapped in an old copper flask by a Bedouin wizard centuries ago, he is released accidentally by a tinsmith in a Lower Manhattan shop.

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

George Guidall is my FAVORITE narrator. He is why I chose this book, and as always, he was superb!

    Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book, thought it was very well written, each character was well defined and the narration was spot on!

George rocks Walt Longmire. If he doesn't narrate them, it won't be Walt.

    Any additional comments?

Finished this book yesterday, after listening to the whole set of books, I re-listened to the whole set again. Now the withdrawal is setting in. Best books I've listened to
