Carrick Francis has spent most of his life jumping into trouble with both feet. The only thing saving him from prison or worse is his absolute devotion to Deacon Winters. Deacon was Crick's sanity and salvation during a miserable, abusive childhood, and Crick would do anything to stay with him forever.

I loved this story. The author weaves a wonderful tale of misunderstandings and true love that conquers all. It is an easy listen and the narrator is one of my favorites. It is easy to discern between characters and his ennunciation is wonderful.

What was one of the most memorable moments of After the Sunset?

The most memorable moment for me was when Rand hung up on Stefan so he wouldn"t hear him vomit.

What does Sean Crisden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sean Crisden brings a whole dimension of personality to whatever books he reads. He is by far one of my favorite narrators. You can always tell when there is a shift between characters. His emotions play well when he is reading the dialog. If he is the narrator I will give a book a chance that I otherwise would not have listened to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I generally listen to the audio books in bits and pieces unless I am quilting. The first time I listened to this book was in pieces. The second time was all in one spell while I quilted.

    Any additional comments?

This book and the first in the series are a great listen. There are the requisite sex scenes which Ms Calmes is very good at writing, but it does feel like there is a playbook which she is writing from if you listen to many of her stories. I like this aspect more often than not, but be warned if you do not. I listen to A LOT of books so don't dismiss it over this aspect unless it really bothers you. I do love this book.

One thing Liam Turner knows for sure is that he's not gay - after all, his father makes it very clear he’ll allow no son of his to be gay. And Liam believes it, until a chance meeting with James "Jay" Bell turns Liam’s world upside-down. Jay is vivacious and unabashedly gay - from the tips of his bleached hair to the ends of his polished nails. With a flair for fashion, overreaction, and an inability to cork his verbal diarrhea, drama queen Jay must have a screw loose.

What did you love best about Loving Jay?

The fun descriptions of how J behaved and his personality. The way he and Liam interact and the protectiveness awakened in Liam are too fun.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Loving Jay?

The bashing of J and Liams' reaction were very touching. The you tube video bit caused tears in my eyes.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Liam comforted J in the kitchen after his grandma passed.

Who was the most memorable character of Loving Jay and why?

Jay himself was the most memorable character. He is a fun person who would be great to have around.

    Any additional comments?

In the past I have returned a book read by this narrator. He was awful on that one. Here he is very good. If you too have heard his reading of Tigerland and been put off him, give this book a chance. Where that one had little differentiation between the different characters this one is easy to tell which character is talking.

Would you listen to Unassumed (Tate Pack) again? Why?

I have already listened to this audiobook several times. It flows nicely and the continuity with the other Tate pack books makes it a nice follow through in the lives of these characters. I just listened to the entire series again over the past few days and truly enjoy the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

Character development and the flow of the story were my personal favorites. There are several very hot sex scenes, but after the first couple of listens I tend to fast forward over those.

Which character – as performed by Sean Crisden – was your favorite?

Howl's grandmother was my favorite. The vivid description and then the peyote reference remind me of my own grandmother.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I always laugh and cry at emotional stories, it doesn't take much.

What did you love best about Switched?

The flow of the story was great and the narration was very good.

What other book might you compare Switched to and why?

I would compare this favorably with the twilight series. The story has that sort of star crossed lovers feel, it just moves along faster.

What about Therese Plummer’s performance did you like?

The characters were easily differentiated and her voice was pleasant to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Would you listen to Everyone's Man again? Why?

I have already listened to it 3 times. It is a nice story that moves at a quick pace. Even though the subject matter is harsh the way the central character deals with his rape is refreshing. This is not a poor, pitiful me type of guy. There is no whining, but he is emotional. It is just a good emotional ride.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Colin is my favorite character. He is very realistic about life. Most people have a hard time accepting their reality and he does.

Nestled in the Pennsylvania countryside, Florence University frames an idyllic college world, complete with cute coeds and handsome jocks - not to mention plenty of booze and sex with virtually no responsibility. For three seniors, the vagaries of life have rarely been so terrifying. Drawn together by their struggles for identity, the three students form a fateful friendship that will change the courses of their lives forever. Sexy, fast paced, and layered with intimate insight about life’s most formative years, The Fall is a compelling coming-of-age story.

What would have made The Fall better?

A better classification would have prevented me from buying this audiobook. It is not a gay romance. At least in the first hour (four chapters) there is no mention of anyone being gay. I can see the setup coming, but there are several stories going on here and the gay part is not central so far. This book is 8 and a half hours long, I gave it an hour and all I heard were back stories. It might be a good listen if you like very verbose story telling, but I found it tedious.

What could Ryan Quinn have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I am sure it is a good book for some, but I expected more of a gay theme from a book listed in the gay and lesbian section.
