This book is the first of two and it is a wonderful experience. I have listened to it several times now as Andrew Grey has become one of my favorite authors. His other 3 books available here are all wonderful, emotionally rivetting stories that will take you from hot steamy scenes to crying at the sorrow of the characters.

Would you listen to Everyone's Man again? Why?

I have already listened to it 3 times. It is a nice story that moves at a quick pace. Even though the subject matter is harsh the way the central character deals with his rape is refreshing. This is not a poor, pitiful me type of guy. There is no whining, but he is emotional. It is just a good emotional ride.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Colin is my favorite character. He is very realistic about life. Most people have a hard time accepting their reality and he does.

Nestled in the Pennsylvania countryside, Florence University frames an idyllic college world, complete with cute coeds and handsome jocks - not to mention plenty of booze and sex with virtually no responsibility. For three seniors, the vagaries of life have rarely been so terrifying. Drawn together by their struggles for identity, the three students form a fateful friendship that will change the courses of their lives forever. Sexy, fast paced, and layered with intimate insight about life’s most formative years, The Fall is a compelling coming-of-age story.

What would have made The Fall better?

A better classification would have prevented me from buying this audiobook. It is not a gay romance. At least in the first hour (four chapters) there is no mention of anyone being gay. I can see the setup coming, but there are several stories going on here and the gay part is not central so far. This book is 8 and a half hours long, I gave it an hour and all I heard were back stories. It might be a good listen if you like very verbose story telling, but I found it tedious.

What could Ryan Quinn have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I am sure it is a good book for some, but I expected more of a gay theme from a book listed in the gay and lesbian section.

Veterinarian Seth Davies comes to Senaka, Wyoming, looking for peace and anonymity, trying to escape his past. He’s always been a target for trouble and pain, and Seth has had more than his share of both. Kasey Whitedove takes one look at Seth and assumes the worst. No white man could love animals the way the mostly Cheyenne population expects, and Kasey makes Seth’s first days in Senaka more than unpleasant.

What did you like best about this story?

The way the story left some tangents open so the author can give us more stories. I want to read about the brother and the best friend.

Nineteen-year-old Dylan Shaw is possibly the most beautiful thing Malic Sunden has ever seen. Malic is sure he’s not good enough for Dylan, who has his whole life ahead of him, and can’t conceive of burdening Dylan with his secrets. What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This book is not something I can recommend. It was tedious and did not get any better from the start. I only listened to the first few chapters and they were painful. It is a period piece which is part of what I found difficult to listen to.

Has What Binds Us turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not the genre, but definitely the author.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Richard Magnus?

The narrator was ok. If the story had been better I would have had no problem with the narration. The story is so bad it colors everything else.

Three years ago, Bear McKenna’s mother took off for parts unknown with her new boyfriend, leaving Bear to raise his six-year-old brother Tyson, aka the Kid. Somehow they’ve muddled through, but since he’s totally devoted to the Kid, Bear isn’t actually doing much living. With a few exceptions, he’s retreated from the world, and he’s mostly okay with that - until Otter comes home. Otter is Bear’s best friend’s older brother, and as they’ve done for their whole lives, Bear and Otter crash and collide in ways neither expect.

What about Sean Crisden???s performance did you like?

His voice is always easy to listen to. The pronunciation is great and easy to understand. I will listen to books he narrates even if I don't know the author.

Who was the most memorable character of Bear, Otter, and the Kid and why?

The kid stole the show. If this is ever made into a movie the kid will be the Jonathan Lipnicki (from Jerry Maguire) who steals every scene.
