"Inspiring and Exciting"
Never a dull moment in this story about one man's dedication to conservation of a herd of African elephants. The narrator provides a rich narration that adds to the story rather than detracts. Although this is an adventure it has a message about conservation, the challenges of post-apartied South Africa and of course the elephant herd.
Born Free might be a comparison and in The Elephant Whiperer the author talks about how the Born Free story was a part of the African past.
The Austrailian accent (I think) added to the book and made you feel more like you were a world away.
This was a book that I couldn't wait until I could listen to it and in fact as soon as I finished the book I started listening to it again, I didn't want it to end.
This book really made me want to travel to the reserve in Africa and see it for myself!
