""Okay" Fielding ..."
I'd rate this book as just "Okay." Much, much longer than needed to tell this story. Have patience!
"Four for the "Prey""
Have read all 23 Prey books by John Sandford. Have a MAJOR CRUSH on Lucas Davenport, America's classic good boy/bad boy.
This Prey is a bit on the boring side - the characters and their interplay elicited some yawns. Usually I dive right into Sandford books and don't mind hitting my head on the bottom. That being said, Silken Prey deserves a four out of five.
Long live Lucas Davenport!
"On and On and On"
Good book by Ann Rule but too lengthy and tedious. Could have been cut down quite a bit.
"Tsk-Tsk, Andrew Gross"
I am a huge fan of Andrew Gross, writing with James Patterson and independently. Bought most books on iTunes, so they won't appear in my Library. The narrator was so sing-song annoying that I've finally stopped listening to the book. She was totally wrong! Generously gave three stars because Gross really is a very good writer and I'd hate to discourage others from reading his previous books. Andrew Gross, ditch the narrator who makes every event sound like a day at the park, don't be so predictable, and stay away from the hot-button topic of hiding illegals to live freely in the USA. To me, the fate of illegal immigrants is a factual one and shouldn't be treated in the fashion you penned.
"Interesting nonfiction cases"
These true crime cases written by Ann Rule, all of which I believe are newly told in this book, are well-written depictions of the havoc scum of the earth criminals impose upon innocent victims, their families and friends. Highly recommend.
The narrator, Laural Merlington, is a brilliant choice by Ann Rule to tell these stories in an authentic manner.
"Choppy narrator & too long"
This is a good book except the narrator speaks in phrases a good bit of the story, which makes for a rather choppy listening experience. And the book is just too dang long!
"Change the narrator!"
I believe this is probably a well-written and interesting story, so I give the 3 stars. However, the narrator was so annoying I finally stopped listening. Authors, are you listening?
"James, thanks for Michael!"
Another winner by James Patterson and his multi-level character Mr. Michael Bennett. Enjoy it, as I did!
"Waaaaay too long ...."
I was so excited to download this lengthy book which looked quite interesting. Well, the book IS lengthy but ISN'T at all interesting. After listening for most of the day, I'm ditching it. Save yourself a buck and move on ...
"Creepy"
This book was downright creepy as in repulsive. Couldn't get very far into it even though I was looking forward to a great read!
"Tortured throughout ..."
I stuck with it only b/c audiobooks - as quickly as I fly through them - are so costly. When I researched the blessed end, I so was happy that "Till Death Do Us Part."
