The gigantic comet had slammed into Earth, forging earthquakes a thousand times too powerful to measure on the Richter scale, tidal waves thousands of feet high. Cities were turned into oceans; oceans turned into steam. It was the beginning of a new Ice Age and the end of civilization. But for the terrified men and women chance had saved, it was also the dawn of a new struggle for survival--a struggle more dangerous and challenging than any they had ever known....

I am half way through with this book and it is so boring I have stopped listening to it. I generally love Larry Niven's books, but this one he really miss the boat on this one.

Aglirta is a once-prosperous land that has fallen into tyranny with the ensorcellment of the King. A warrior, a thief, and a healer must turn their backs on their ordinary lives and join with sorceress Lady Embra Silvertree - the Lady of Jewels - in a last-ditch attempt to awaken the Sleeping King and restore him to his rightful throne.

Robert says: "Not as Bad as it may seem"
    "AVOID This Book."
    Overall

This book is an all time low. I had many problems just forcing myself to keep listen to it. It is nothing more then an AD&D game with people moving from intervention point to intervention point. There is no development of players what so ever. The story line is just follow the dots around the game board. If you like good books, this is not one of them.
