He was tall, at least six feet, with dirty blond hair that hung over his eyes. His T-shirt read Nietzsche Is My Homeboy. So, that was Matt. Who Julie Seagles likes. A lot. But there is also Finn. Who she flat out loves. Complicated? Awkward? Completely. But really, how was this freshly-minted Boston transplant and newbie college freshman supposed to know that she would end up living with the family of an old friend of her mother’s? This was all supposed to be temporary.

When I read this book I "Loved" it, but hearing Julia Whelan narrate it...she brought it to life. I kept forgetting one person was narrating. The narration is what makes an audiobook. I loved the character Julie right from the beginning. If she were real she would be my best friend. The quick wit drew me in and the fun-loving bantar kept me there. Matt's nerdy geekdom and Celeste's intellectual calibur tugged at my heart and wrapped me around their lil fingers. This book is now on my "Favorite Books" list.

This stunning debut captures the grotesque madness of Underland, as well as a girl’s pangs of first love and independence. Alyssa Gardner hears the whispers of bugs and flowers - precisely the affliction that landed her mother in a mental hospital years before. This family curse stretches back to her ancestor Alice Liddell, the real-life inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Alyssa might be crazy, but she manages to keep it together. For now.

This has got to be the best spin on Alice in Wonderland, EVER! I absolutely loved it! Rebecca Gibel did a wonderful job with narration. (Narration needs to be good to keep my attention.) A.G. Howard did an awesome job with this book/audiobook. I couldn't put it down. Two thumbs up! I love her take on the characters and "Wonderland" itself. There is suspense, action and romance wrapped up in a fantastical fantasy world. I definitely recommend this book.

June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: The Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request: June and Day must assassinate the new Elector. It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long. But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning?

Marie Lu has done an OUTSTANDING job with this second installment to "Legend". The action kept the story pace going while the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. And, of course, I'm a sucker for some romance. Narration was a little slow at the begining but picked up quickly and the performance was done very well. Good job Mariel Stern and Steven Kaplan!

Day and June have escaped Batalla Hall and are on their way to find the Patriots for help. Both have been broken and torn apart by the loss of both their families. All that is left is Day's younger brother, Eden, who has been taken by the Republic because he has and carries the new strand of the plague. Can Day and June's feelings for each other withstand a fight to find a brother, a crumbling government and a strained relationship between two people from two very different worlds? Sometimes, things aren't always what they seem be.

Awesome book/audiobook! I definitely recommend it!

When I bought this audio I wasn't sure what to expect but was told it was good. So, of course, I bought it. I was so sucked into the story I couldn't put it down. I drove, cleaned and cooked while listening. Marie Lu, AWESOME job! This book/audiobook has action, some suspense and little romance. Narration was awesome too. It was paced well, spoken well and kept me involved. Steven Kaplan has one of those voices I just like to listen to. I did have a little trouble with Mariel Stern's voice at the begining (it's a little squeeky) but it grew on me and I was able to go with it.

Day has been wronged by his government, the Republic and has been on the run since he was 10 years old. Now, at the age of 15 he is a famous criminal and wanted by the government. June, 15, is a prodigy who is being goomed for a successful career in the Republic's military. Day and June's lives cross when, one night, Day has a run in with June's Brother, Metias. Their lives come colliding into a snowball of events rolling out of control. Lies and truths have been revealed. Now Day and June have to decide what to do with these revelations.

    A book I definitely recommend.

Just have to say. I borrowed this audio from the library and I loved it so much I had to buy it for my collection!!! Let me start off with the narration. AWESOME! Sarah Drew did it again. She is one of my favorite narrators! Lauren Oliver, you blew me away! This book/audiobook was beautiful, moving and heart wrenching. Oliver's writing grabbed me and pulled me in. Yes, this was something of a "teenage groundhog day" but with a very needed message for our youth. (I wish this book was written when I was in highschool.) I think this is an awesome book for all teens to read. Oliver does a wonderful job conveying high school life and the repercussions brought on by thoughtless and negative actions towards others. Sam, a highschool senior, is made to live her last day alive over and over again in order to find out what really matters in life and what matters to herself. Oliver has you loving and hating almost every character at one point or another in this emotional roller coaster of a story. I was angry and repulsed. I laughed and cried. I was in love and I hated. In the end I was reminded to pay attention to how I live my life and treat those who are in it. With a word, look, touch or action we can inspire or break a life. Truly life influencing.

*Book 2 Spoilers*----Wow! Let's start off with, narration again was awesome. Good job Tavia Gilbert! Anna Carey has done an AWESOME job with this final installment of this trilogy! My heart was crushed at the end of the last book when Caleb dies. I got this book/audiobook hoping there was some kind of mistake. Eve must carry on without her love and continue the fight for freedom that Caleb was unable to finish. She must kill her father! Come on with an ending like that, how can you not have to read the third book! The pace in this book is sped up by the thrill and fear of getting caught. Through the excitement there is still time for your heartstrings to be tugged on. Charles' love grows for Eve but it is unreciprocated due to her unwavering love for the one she lost. Excellent final book!

Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder. In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. Just when he thought he was invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees. Every story has two sides. In Jamie McGuire's New York Times best seller Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it's time to see the story through Travis's eyes.

I had read Beautiful Disaster several times before the audio came out. Once I had the audio I listened to that several times. I had fallen in Love with the story and characters from the very first read. So, when I heard Walking Disaster was coming out I was all on board and counting down. This book/audiobook is the same story but absolutely different at the same time. I loved finding out what exactly was going through Travis' head and knowing the male perspective during certain situations. I also delighted in knowing what was going on during scenes Abby wasn't around for. All the scenes between Travis, Shep and America just rounded out the whole story and gave you a better perspective on Travis' character.

For those of you who haven't read the first book, I highly recommend reading Beautiful Disaster First. So, really quick, This book is about two people, Abby and Travis, who both have damaged pasts. The odds of them getting together and making it last are against them. Their hurricane love story takes you through a whirlwind of emotions and slams you into a wall or two during it's tumultuous ride.

I have only two semi-negative comments. One, while Dan Bittner did an awesome job narrating, I still had a preconception of Travis' voice being a little more rough or tough; and during intense emotional times of the story, I felt his voice should have given more of that inner turmoil, on the brink of breaking kind of vibe. Second, I am going to be perfectly honest. Beautiful Disaster is still my favorite between the two and continues to be on my favorites list.

With that being said, I loved this book and absolutely recommend it. Two thumbs up to Jamie McGuire. A definate must have companion to Beautiful Disaster!

This exciting finale to Lauren Olive's New York Times best-selling Delirium trilogy is a riveting blend of nonstop action and forbidden romance in a dystopian United States. Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has transformed. The nascent rebellion that was underway in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight. After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven.

Awesome audiobook. Sarah Drew rocked on narration! The hurt and sense of betrayal between Lena and Alex was felt so intensely in this book. The love triangle between Lena, Alex and Julian is a whirlwind of guilt, hurt, and longing. Hana has her own dilemmas and guilt she is dealing with. And, of course, the fight with the government continues. This book had me in knots and tears. The ending could have been a little better. I understand that life goes on and we can't be there for all of Lena's life decisions but when it comes to reading/listening to a book, a person wants some closure. Other than that, I loved the book!

I’m pushing aside the memory of my nightmare, pushing aside thoughts of Alex, pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school, push, push, push, like Raven taught me to do. The old life is dead. But the old Lena is dead too. I buried her.I left her beyond a fence, behind a wall of smoke and flame. Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bests eller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

Loved this book. Lauren Oliver did it again! Lena your killing me. I feel for her so much. Her struggle between a love she has lost and one that can possibly be. On top of her personal love issues there is the threat of the government trying to rid society of the "invalids" and the "wilds". The fight for the freedom to choose love and ones future pushes forward. New characters to feel for, struggles and heartache, and, of course, another cliffhanger is what you are in for in this installment. Sarah Drew, again, has done an awesome job with narration!

I was a little thrown off by the "Then" and "Now" switch from chapter to chapter but quickly caught on. I really liked how Oliver had both time frames coincide with each other, then meet up in the end and finish off in the present. It was a smart way to keep up the pace of Lena's story through out the book. What can i say? Awsome book! Loved it!
