As the parent of a 3-year old and a 6-month old, I think this book is absolutely brilliant. As a regular person, I'm a big fan of Samuel L. Jackson. But I don't like them together and here's why. Jackson is too obvious a choice. He's too on the nose. And that's the problem. The juxtaposition is lost (well, just not as good). I think Mansbach's brilliant and hilarious words would be better served by a more normal, flatter read. Like, a Jack Handy type (SNL). I say, let the funny be funny without someone trying to add their own funny.
