"Sci-Fi Comedy"
I love Bradbury's sense of humor. I am not even sure that he intends to be comedic but he can't help it.
"LOVE ZOMBIES ....but this one is just not good."
I personally found the narrator irritating. Maybe I have different taste than others, or maybe he really is irritating... that I couldn't tell you. It is poorly written/amateur. Not going to finish listening. Moving on to something els.
"Depression Hurts"
This book could send you right over the edge... WOW. What a hopeless story. Umm, I just couldn't understand why these people, given like a whole year to prepare, couldn't use all of the resources they had to build an underground shelter to house as many people as possible. They had plenty of time to come up with a decent system of underground living area that could have given them a fighting chance to survive as many years as possible trying to wait out the nuclear winter.
"Favorite of the Dark Tower Series"
I have read the entire series. This is the first time listening to it. This is probably my favorite in the series. I really disliked the reader of book 1, but heard great things about Frank Muller. I dislike his interpretation of Roland, however the rest of the characters are incredible. It is so hard to believe that it is one man reading all of the characters, including females. He has great talent.
"Not So Great"
Big SK fan but I just couldn't get into this one. Too slow for too long... like 3/4 of the book and then once the pace picked up it just wasn't very interesting. I do enjoy, however, listening to the author of the book read the story. His reading is decent and not distracting.
"Takes A Wierd (in a bad way) Left Turn"
The first book was pretty entertaining. I am about 3/4 through the second book and there is no storyline, just lots of random scenerios. ALSO- there are numerous instances where it becomes rather explicit sexually. I have to wonder if the author discovered Viagra between the first and second book.
"EXCELLENT"
LOVE THE BOOK. CAN'T PUT IT DOWN. THE READER RAUL ESPARZA IS BY FAR THE MOST TALENTED READER I HAVE EVER HEARD. YOU WOULD THINK THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT PEOPLE READING.
"If you like zombies then you will love this book"
I really enjoyed this novel. I LOVE books and movies about the end of the world so if you DON'T then I am not the person to ask... Zombies are one of my favorite ways to end it. The story moves along at a good pace. It is easy reading...just the right amount of details. Not going to go down in history as a classic but....can't wait to read book 2.
"Great Story"
Really pleasant reading. Not nearly as gruesome and profane as many of his stories. Not particularly fast paced or "thrilling" but an enjoyable story nonetheless.
"Classic King"
I love Stephen King's sick twisted humor so I really enjoyed this story. It is nice that it is a short story and resists the usual over-development of settings and characters that is King's defining characteristic! Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE most of his stories.
