"I am Princess Meredith, heir to a throne - if I can stay alive long enough to claim it. My cousin, Prince Cel, is determined to see that I don't. As long as we both live, we are in a race for the crown; whichever one of us reproduces first gets the throne. Forgot to mention in my review of the first book in this series is that the narator changes the pronunciation of the characters from book to book. This distracts from the naration immensly.

Victorian romance mixes seamlessly with elegant prose and biting wit—and werewolves—in Gail Carriger’s delightful debut novel. Soulless introduces Alexia Tarabotti, a parasol-wielding Londoner getting dangerously close to spinster status. But there are more important things than finding a husband. For Alexia was born without a soul, giving her the ability to render any vampire or werewolf completely powerless.

When courier Aisling Grey is dispatched to Paris to deliver a priceless dragon statue to a rich and eccentric female collector, she finds the intended recipient the apparent victim of a demonic ritual. And that's just the beginning of Aisling's discoveries.

The Aisling Grey books are fantastic! Very good series of stories. Unfortunately the author never wrote more than 4 books surrounding this character.

I enjoyed most of these books. The first 9 books are fantastic with great plots strong character building. Unfortunately after book 9 there is a new narator and reading format. The first 9 books have some sound effects that add to the suspense. The new narator doesn't have the French accent for Jean Claude as the first does.
Also after book 9 the plots begin to get weaker as there is Anita becomes a succubus, and more and more of her life revolves around gaining energy through sex.
The last book tries to bring in a good plot be really doesn't work as well as the earlier books.
Would enjoy this series more if the narator and format had stayed the same along with the plots staying strong through out, rather than being inconsistent..

"All it would take was my true name being mentioned after dark, and it would float back to my aunt. She was the Queen of Air and Darkness, and that meant that anything said in the dark was hers to hear, eventually. The fact that spotting the missing Elven American Princess had become more popular than spotting Elvis helped."

Stories have a good premis, but unfortunately drift into more sex and less plot. Narator was good, unfortuately they swapped narators for one book then go back to the original narator.
Decent reed but plots could be stronger.

I am really enjoying this series of books by JR Ward. This book as with the first two in this series is well written and enjoyable along with suspenseful. I especially love how in each of the fallen angel novels there is at least something of the black dagger brotherhood in it.
Really looking forward to the next installment in this series.
