Even as a pregnant, unwed teen in 1974, Sandy Lincoln wanted to do the right thing. But when an ageless woman approached her in a convenience store with a mysterious prophecy and a warning, doing the right thing became even more unclear. She made the best choice she could... and has lived with the consequences. More than 30 years later, a pregnant teen has come into her life, and Sandy’s long-ago decision has come back to haunt her. The stakes rise quickly, leaving Sandy with split seconds to choose once more. But will her choice decision bring life... or death?

What disappointed you about The Choice?

I really enjoy good Christian fiction, but after listening to over half of it, and spending a good bit of money, I give up! The narration is awful, and the story is lacking, in my opinion.

Has The Choice turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No

Would you be willing to try another one of Heath McClure’s performances?

    Never

What would have made Timeline better?

I could not enjoy the book because of the constant cussing, especially using the Lord's name as a curse word. I find it very objectionable, and wish I had not wasted my money. I wish there were a way to get a refund.Did not even get through first hour, I don't think.

What could Michael Crichton have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The story without the cursing and using Jesus' name as a curse.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

    Couldn't enjoy it.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment and anger

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Where does Sycamore Row rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very high; I love most Grisham books though there have been a couple that were not too impressive. This makes up for all of that!

What did you like best about this story?

Unpredictable story line; great story and great ending.

Have you listened to any of Michael Beck’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

As usual, it's excellent. He is amazing!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, but I don't want to ruin the story.

    Any additional comments?

    Really glad I bought it.
