    What made the experience of listening to The Silver Linings Playbook the most enjoyable?

    To be honest I read the Kindle version more than I listened to the Audible version. But, when I did listen, it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the novel. I listened when I needed to lay back and close my eyes for a few minutes.


    What did you like best about this story?

    I liked the characters and how they made the overall story mesh


    Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?

    I liked Mr Porter's read of Pat. Audio books are great but when it comes to characters, having a male imitate the female characters is bad idea. I don't know how that would be effectively carried off without having multiple readers, male and female. But in general, nothing could ruin this book. I enjoyed the book and characters too much to let my petty concerns interfere.


    If you could rename The Silver Linings Playbook, what would you call it?

    Blue Sy Through the Dark Clouds..But that sounds lame. The Silver Linings Playbook fits perfectly..


    Any additional comments?

    I am glad I read this book. I don't think I could see the movie in a theater. I woiuld be the teary eyed guy walking out at the end.

    Would you listen to Mockingjay again? Why?

    No. Since I had both the book and the Audible I found myself going to the book more because I didn't like Carolyn McCormick's reading style.


    What did you like best about this story?

    The entire series was excellent in keeping my attention and curiosity up. I couldn't stop. I saw the movie first and couldn't wait until Nov 2013 to see Part 2. After Listening to Catching Fire I couldn't stop until I found out how it all ended so I bought the MockingJay in both Audible and Book format.


    What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

    Her voice interpretation of Katniss was way off. It sounded more like a middle aged woman than a 16 year old girl. I know that has to be a very hard thing to do where you are looking to appeal to a wide and varied audience. It would also be difficult to try and mimic all voices but since Katniss was the main character and the dialogue was mostly hers it would have been nice to get that voice more precise and not worry about the others.


    Any additional comments?

    I wish it had ended differently. Very disappointed with who died and who survived. But, "real or not real?" REAL life is not always fair so why should a book be any different. So I say "Real".

    I have only listened to two so far so in that respect I would give this on a passing grade of 79%

    Yes. She is an intelligent, funny, honest writer. I wish she were around to write more.
