People who are just looking for a bunch of short stories.
I was looking for the next book on Sookie Stackhouse as I have read and enjoyed them so much and when you listen to the sample, that's what it sounds like (this time with the help of other authors (like Ms. Harris should really need them). Instead, I got one great story and bunch that I could care less about. It was really a disappointment. The worse part about it is that I bought the mistletoe book at the same time and can't return either. So I am stuck with one story I like and a bunch I don't. I am sure that Ms. Harris could have put all her short stories together, come up with a great read and NOT disappointed her readers in this way.
Everything past Sookie Stackhouse.
I don't think I could say more about how I was disappointed that I did in the 'What was the most disappointing' section of the questioner. I hope someone forwards these notes to Ms. Harris and that she actually cares about her readers.
I would because I can do other things as well as read a book.
The suspense. You were always waiitng for the thing to get him
I'm not sure, but he is amazing.
Dark Matter fits too well to rename the book.
Amazing book. I loved how it held you in suspense the whole time. And watching the changes in Jack as he writes in his journal.I will be recommending this book to my friends and family. I am always after them to join Audible all the time.
It pulls you in where you can actually see in your mind what Nick (the main character) sees and feels. This is going to be a reread!
The man can really tell a story! Fantastic!
Nick (of course) because many thing he is going through (feelings. The feeling of being at a concert. Not the drugs though.) brings many memories back.
Will definitely be telling my friends about this book.
I was very disappointed as I was looking for a 'Horror' book and the title seemed to meet that criteria. Actually, it should have been in the 'Detective' section under 'How many times a cop can screw up and still stay on the force. I kept listening waiting for something outstanding to happen. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT ALL THE WAY AROUND! The only thing I found good about it was the English accent on the reader. I have been finding it harder and harder to find good audio books and this is just another one to throw in the pile of 'Don't listen to again'. A waste of time and money because like it or not credits are paid for.
When I got this book, it was because I was running out of books in the 'Horror' section that isn't about vampires. I really didn't think it was going to be that good. To my surprise it turned out to be excellent. I have enjoyed it several times just since I got it and every time it's as good as the first. I wish they'd get more like this.
He must have been on a deadline because this has to be the worst King book I've heard. The ending sounded more like King saying Good Bye to his readers than a part of the story. But since Audible isn't getting any new horror books (maybe they're getting abridged, but that's like reading half a book or watching a TV show) I guess I'm going to have to end up with worse and worse. I've already changed my membership to the lowest you can get so I can keep my library. Maybe a lot of Audible (the older ones anyway) members are doing the same. Wonder when they will notice that older friends are more valuable than new ones.
Fantastic Trilogy. I can't get enough of these three books, Blood Brothers, The Hollow, and The Pagan Stone. You'll want to hear them again and again!
Loved it. Can't wait to get the 3rd in this series. If it's anything like the first 2, I will consider myself lucky.
Dean Koontz has outdone himself on this one. It is fantastic. A must read or in this case listen to. Bravo Mr. Koontz.
The book could have been a lot better if I hadn't taken offense at the author suggesting that a woman being raped would not only enjoy this, but love the man that had raped even if she had a child with him prior. I feel it was a slap in the face of all rape victims. I haven't heard or read many romance novels maybe it is the norm to insult the intelligence of their readers while making it harder for victims to prove their case even to other women who read books like this and have never experienced the brutality or humiliation of this act of violence as that is what it is, not love or lust, but hatred and assault. Maybe if one of the authors who wrote the other two in this series had done this one, this would have been a grand slam as well.
