The story begins high above Los Angeles, at the extravagant home and equally impressive wine cellar of entertainment lawyer Danny Roth. Unfortunately, after inviting the Los Angeles Times to write an extensive profile extolling the liquid treasures of his collection, Roth finds himself the victim of a world-class wine heist.

I love Peter Mayle and this is another fabulous production - great writing and great narration! I have listened to it a few times now.

Lola has no intention of accepting when her boyfriend Dougie's snobbish mother offers her £10,000 to break up with him.

    "BEST JILL MANSELL BOOK!"
    Overall

This was the best Jill Mansell book I heard on audible. I enjoyed many of them, especially Perfect Timing, but this one was the best story (so funny - I kept laughing out loud) and had great narration!

Maura Carmody's off on the trip of a lifetime. A talented chef, she's travelling around Ireland for a month to promote Australian food and wine. Maura's expecting a straight forward business trip. But what she gets is a whirlwind of mishaps, misunderstandings, rivals and revelations, and Dominic Hanrahan, who's giving her plenty of food for thought.

What a gem! Monica McInerney writes such wonderful books but this is her absolute best! Great story - so interesting and fabulous narration! I will listen to this over and over again.

Suddenly released from her engagement and out of work, Julia Fairfax is looking for a new direction in life. When a classified ad catches her eye, she embarks on a hilarious trip through the English canals in a rickety hotel boat. Along the way, she encounters hard-to-please guests, an unsettling ex-boyfriend, and the challenges of cooking in a tiny galley with rattling crockery.

    L. Stapleton says: "Why does this get good ratings?"

I really like Katie Fforde's books and wish more of them were available on audible! I enjoy this story (I had already read it in book form and so enjoyed hearing it again) but didn't like the narrator (her voice sounded too old).

Poppy Dunbar is out on her "hen night" when she meets Tom Kennedy. With his dark eyes and quirky smile, he could lure any girl off the straight and narrow, but what really draws Poppy to him is the feeling that she's known him all her life. She can't go through with the meeting they arrange - but she can't go through with the wedding either.

This book was great - the best Jill Mansell I've heard on audible. The story was interesting (almost all character lines were good) and the narrator did a great job. I have listened to it twice now.

After 20 years of comfortable marriage, and with the kids finally off her hands, Sarah Lewis realises she has filled the washing machine once too often. Surely there must be more to life than this? What she wants is an adventure - a wild, unpredictable adventure - but her husband, good old reliable David, is very happy with the status quo. What Sarah needs is a gap year for grown-ups - and she wants to do it alone.

I am a big fan of Annie Sanders and have read or listened to almost all of their books. I was disapppointed with this story (although the narrator was great) as it dealt with heavier material and seemed more somber. If you're looking for something more light-hearted, check out their books The X-Mas Factor and Busy Woman Seeks Wife (both on audible).
