Delightfully delicious. Wonderfully written. John LeCarre is a great wordsmith. The subject is Africa, and he makes one believe we should listen not only to the story but to the moral as well.
The formula is wearing thin. May be my last Patterson. The dragon slayer needs dragons that aren't fixated on him. I'm glad he has the most wonderful family ever and he'd win father of the year; but the world is a big place and focusing on the Cross family is too narrow. Seems to me he is getting paid per word and has lost a lot in creativity. Maybe he is spreading himself too thin with all his other series?
