He was just a freckle-faced, red-headed kid with green eyes and a strangely campelling stare when Mather Mastiff first saw him an the auctioneer's block. One hundred credits and he was hers. For years the old woman was his only family. She loved him, fed him, taught him everything she knew - even let him keep the deadly flying snake he called Pip.Then Mother Mastiff mysteriously disappeared and Flinx took Pip to tail her kidnappers.

Thank goodness someone put the order the books should be read in. Otherwise you can get very confused. Thanks

As dusk approaches a small Dublin suburb in the summer of 1984, mothers begin to call their children home. But on this warm evening, three children do not return from the dark and silent woods. When the police arrive, they find only one of the children, unable to recall a single detail of the previous hours.

Twenty years later, the found boy, Rob Ryan, is a detective on the Dublin Murder Squad and keeps his past a secret. But when a 12-year-old girl is found murdered in the same woods, he and Detective Cassie Maddox find themselves investigating a case chillingly similar to the previous unsolved mystery.

Barbara says: "A near-flawless audiobook (but for one thing...)"
"Didn't Enjoy This Book At All"
    Overall

I can't belive some people liked this book so much. The first hour I listened was all about the type of material in his suits, the shade of lipstick she wore. I like a story that gives detail yes, but the detail in this book is down the size of a grain of sand. How about a story that moves. I wouln't recommed this book at all.
