I loved it so much I listened to it twice, and it was even better the second time around. One thing not to be forgotten is that the "author" is himself an old man when he is writing, and the narrator captures a wonderful sense of stateliness and wry humor in his measured pace. His female voice (he has only one for all the females) is absolutely hilarious to me. I could almost picture my grandfather relating his adventures. The story itself is riveting, and the language superb and poetic. I wish I could write like this. Truly, a masterpiece in my humble view.
