After their epic journey across Europe, Ayla and Jondalar have reached his home, the Ninth Cave of the Zelandonii, the old stone-age settlement in the region known today as southwest France. Jondalar's family greet him warmly, but they are initially wary of the beautiful young woman he has brought back, with her strange accent and her tame wolf and horses.

    "Boring yet addictive"
    Overall

I used to be a huge fan of this series but I was really bored with all of the repetition in this book. I can understand refering to things that happened in previous books but when Auel constantly brings up the same dumb subject over and over and over...I just want to scream. This book just seemed so "simple" and even corny. I wish I skipped this book.

This ambitious, electrifying work traces the harrowing journey of the famed Sarajevo Haggadah, a beautifully illuminated Hebrew manuscript created in 15th-century Spain.

When it falls to Hanna Heath, an Australian rare-book expert, to conserve this priceless work, the series of tiny artifacts she discovers in its ancient binding - an insect wing fragment, wine stains, salt crystals, a white hair - only begin to unlock its deep mysteries.

I started listening to this book again after I finished it for the first time. Some parts are hard to get and I learned a lot the second time. Some of the accents were a little annoying but the main characters had nice accents. I highly recommend it!

The marriage of Marc Antony and Cleopatra is one of the greatest love stories of all time, a tale of unbridled passion with earth-shaking political consequences. Feared and hunted by the powers in Rome, the lovers choose to die by their own hands as the triumphant armies of Antony's vengeful rival, Octavian, sweep into Egypt. Their three orphaned children are taken in chains to Rome; only two---the 10-year-old twins Selene and Alexander---survive the journey.

I really enjoyed this audiobook because of the historical accuracy. The narrator has a nice voice but it was easy to zone out during certain slow parts of the book. Overall, it was very entertaining.
