Yes, it is beautifully written!
A dark version of an Alice Hoffman book that is full of descriptions that pull you into the scene. More like literature than Ellory's usual crime novels.
His voice could not be more perfect for this novel. I could visualize the characters exactly like he describes them.
The entire book was very moving. From the tragedy of the murderers, to the fire, to the lifes that we're forever changed. The teacher who recognized unusual talent and encouraged and supported the shy boy. It is a very dark story and sad yet so beautifully written I am glad I listened to it.
Well constructed characters, good presentation. I would recommend this book. I felt like I had taken a trip to Paris in a long ago time period.

I thought if I had a young daughter I would let her listen. The book is fine just not my
should list this as a romantic themed fiction for young girls.
