Serge Storms, that loveable thermonuclear vigilante and one-stop-Florida-trivia-shop, has been leaving corpses strewn across the Sunshine State for more than a decade. The authorities—especially one tenacious state agent—have begun to notice the exponential body count, and send a police task force to track down Serge. Could his luck finally have run out?

This book was like a flashback episode of your favorite sitcom, it's fun but you'd rather watch a real episode. I was missing the wide range of characters, switching from scene to scene like in the other books.

Everything starts somewhere. For elite military cop Jack Reacher, that somewhere was Carter Crossing, Mississippi, way back in 1997. A young woman is dead, and solid evidence points to a soldier at a nearby military base. But that soldier has powerful friends in Washington. Reacher is ordered undercover - to find out everything he can, to control the local police, and then to vanish. Reacher is a good soldier. But when he gets to Carter Crossing, he finds layers no one saw coming, and the investigation spins out of control. Local sheriff Elizabeth Deveraux has a thirst for justice - and an appetite for secrets.

Was looking for something exciting, saw someone gave this a 5 star review who said they normally don't do that. He was right, this is exactly the type of book I need in my car. You get into the story rather quickly and from there on it's never boring. Makes my car ride fly by. I even listened to it at home which I normally never do. As for the story itself, I think it's kind of a guy book, lot's of action and suspense, not too romantical. I'm off to the next Reacher book!

While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, a baffling cipher found near the body. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, sort through the bizarre riddle, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci, clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

I guess I was expecting to much from this book, after everything I heard about it and it being such a best seller. The characters are supposed to be really smart, a professor and a cryptographer, but every clue has to be smacked around their face 10 times before they see it. "Hmmm a 10 digit code to unlock the safe, could it possibly have to do something with the 10 digit code the owner of the safe left for us 15min ago!?!?!? Nope I don't see it..."

    Cringeworthy!!!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

People in jail who have nothing else to do!

What was most disappointing about Suzanne Collins’s story?

The story itself! This was the first time I set my iPod to double speed just to get it over with...

    Which scene was your favorite?

The first chapter when I did not yet know what I was in for...

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Impatience for the book to end so I could start with another.

Ancient Egypt. Land of the Pharaohs. A kingdom built on gold. A legend shattered by greed. Now the Valley of Kings lies ravaged by war, drained of its lifeblood, as weak men inherit the cherished crown. On the eve of the festival of Osiris, the loyal subjects of the Pharaoh gather in Thebes to pay tribute to their leader.

Exploding with all the passion and rage of a bygone time, River God is a masterpiece of historical writing.

Before this book I only listened to detectives and crime thrillers (and the potter series) but I saw this one on the "first series sale" and wanted to try something different. I never thought a "historical novel" would be so exciting!! The characters and story are great!! It's also one of the longest books I've listened to but it never felt like a drag, it's constantly entertaining. Get this one!!

I thought the first 2 Dexter books were great, filled with humor and suspense. But here Dexter turns into an insecure weirdo and has lost all his wittiness that made the other books so great. Also the "paranormal" stuff didn't really do the book any good. I don't think I'll be listening to the rest of the series.

I can't get enough of the fast paced humorous style of these books and I think this one has the strongest storyline. I also have to say I'm a big fan of Oliver Wyman, with his big number of different voices. It's probably not for everyone (my girlfriend's not a fan) but I absolutely love this serie!!
