This book subjects the theory behind development approaches to experimentation and provides useful illustrations of why a strict rational choice approach to economic thinking often fails to model people well.
"The need for critical analysis cannot be escaped". Sen makes an indispensable contribution to modern moral and economic thought in this book through a dogged investigation of the logic underlying many assumptions which often guide decision making.
An ability to keep up. This is a tough book to read aloud given the over use of unnecessarily complex prose. Very often this book provides you in a page what could be delivered in a paragraph, and the narrator keeps up reasonably well.
Satisfactory, but its hurried ending didn't suffice for the investment to get there.
Narration was well thought out and performed; although the number of characters eventually exposed the limitations of the narrator's repertoire. Look forward to hearing more of his work.
