Welcome to Gramayre - where witches, warlocks, elves, and gnomes are real; where a spoiled girl-queen and an army of teenage witches, and ragtag beggars battle an overwhelming force of rebel knights and time-travelling anarchists for the future of the most unique, and perhaps most important, planet in the galaxy.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Warlock in Spite of Himself to be better than the print version?

Yes, I first read this book years ago and the audio brought that all back.. I really liked the audio production of this book.. Many reviewers claimed that the production was poor but I found it excellent. I did notice that many of the character voices were put on the different audio tracks. If you were listening to this on a mono player it would appear the voices were not all the same volume. Make sure you have a good stereo or surround sound system to listen to this one on. I listened in my car and found it pretty entertaining that the voices were coming from the passenger seat or sounds effects coming from the sub woofer and rear speakers..

What did you like best about this story?

Just an old fashioned fun fantasy that tries to blend science fiction with the mythical. A take on the Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court..

What about Dennis F. Regan’s performance did you like?

Characters were voiced well. Production was entertaining.. Felt like I was listening to a play rather than someone just reading a story

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really.. There were definite plot breaks between chapters and its not really an edge of your seat type of story. There were a couple times I sat parked in the car listening until a chapter came to an end.

    Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the rest of the series to be produced. The character evolve and the story takes on a great deal more fantasy feel in the later books of the series..
