Very entertaining, and the narrator, Laurel Lefkow, does a wonderful job. This is my favorite of all of Lauren Weisberger's books. The characters are endearing, the book is funny, AND it's set in New York -- what's not to like? Thank you audible for having the unabridged version of this book.
Obvious, manipulative, and it's the slowest paced book I've ever read. No surprises -- you can predict this one from the very start. Can't recommend.
This is a hilarious fish out of water, husband/wife, and mother/daughter story with wonderful characters. It's an episodic novel told by many different voices, with main one belonging to Bernadette's 14 year old daughter. At the end everything comes together for a satisfying and brilliant conclusion
And speaking of brilliant, Kathleen Wilhoite is without question the best narrator I have ever heard on Audible. She seems to have an endless supply of distinct voices. And she even sings -- beautifully. A superb performance. I was completely transported.
From my perspective the Seattle skewering was an added bonus, but I would have loved this book even without it.
This is the audible book I recommend the most.
What could have been a fascinating story about race, the law, and personal identity goes....nowhere. Unrealistic plot and uninteresting characters. Hard to believe that a Grisham book could be this tedious.
It's more of a collection of short stories than a novel. I liked the characters so much that I wish it had been the other way around. Still, it's worth listening to -- very funny and a terrific performance by Kirby Heyborne.
Even George Guidall couldn't save this one.
Yes -- usually enjoy her books.
George Guidall was excellent (as always) but this book is one of the weakest in the series. Lacks the usual Lillian Jackson Braun humor.
This is a marvelous book -- a spot on satire of motherhood in suburbia -- laugh out loud funny -- and a great story about friendship, husband/wife and mother/daughter relationships. There's even a mystery. All in all, you can't go wrong with this book. Thank you Amazon for having the unabridged version.
This book was alot of fun and Emily Skinner is a terrific narrator. I wish it was unabridged -- I'd gladly spend more time with these characters. And Jennifer Weiner's descriptions of parenthood in suburbia are just hilarius. Well worth reading!
