Timing is perfect for this book. Great insight into the making of and life as a seal. Surprising detail and opinion. Nothing astoundingly new or over the top, but fans of the genre will enjoy.

Sequel to THE LIONS GAME, great finish. Was the first John Corey book I listened to and have subsequently listened to all of them. Should be made into a movie. Highly recommend.

Sad, hard to listen to at times, told in a very fast paced, detailed manner. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to all. Some may not like all the detail or some of the manner in which it is told, but I enjoyed throughout. Sad, true tale.

To survive in a game with no rules at all, John Corey must invent a strategy that includes no luck at all. He and the Anti-Terrorist Task Force must stop "The Lion," an alleged Libyan terrorist with the instincts of a wild animal, the bloodlust of a carnivore, and the boldness and speed of a cat of prey.

This and The Lion. Great 1 2 combo. Great story and storytelling. Unbelievable at times, but always well told and humorous. Laugh out loud at some of the comebacks. The Corey character is a star and his supporting cast very good. This should be made into a movie as should its sequel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Five years after the crashof TWA Flight 800, the government has declared it a result of mechanical failure. But John Corey, an ex-NYPD detective who is now a contract agent with the Federal Anti-Terrorist Task Force, is persuaded by Kate Mayfield, his wife and task force partner, that the case deserves a second look.

In terms of suspense and dread, probably the best book I have listened to. Figured out what was coming and was spellbound the last half of the book, literally could not stop listening. Major disruption in my life for a couple of days. Will listen to again some time, was so intense, I need to let some time pass. Dreadful series of events and no question as to what is coming, just ungodly to hear real events portrayed in this type of story. Great story, looking forward to a re-listen at some point.

That weekend, a member of the Federal Anti-Terrorist Task Force is found dead. It's up to Detective John Corey and his wife, FBI Agent Kate Mayfield, to unravel a terrifying plot that starts with the Custer Hill Club and ends with American cities locked in the crosshairs of a nuclear device.

Probably my third favorite of the Corey series, enjoyable beginning to end. Hated to hear it end. Fantastic, outrageous plot, but great to listen to and humorous throughout. Characters top notch and the reader can see the evolution of some over time (book to book). Great listen, would listen to again.

In the latest from Nelson DeMille (author of The Lion's Game), Paul Brenner is called out of CID retirement to investigate the murder 30 years ago of an army lieutenant in Vietnam. Brenner's trip up country, with a beautiful American expatriate for company, will lead him to uncover an explosive, long-buried secret.

Enjoyed the whole story, beginning to end. Great characters. Not as humorous as the Corey novels, but believable and easy to follow. Dialogue between characters often long and sometimes seems repetitive, probably the only draw back. Main female character must light up 100 cigarettes, Marlboro must have sponsored this work. In any event, highly recommend and would listen to again.

For countless fans of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts, Brock Lesnar has long been known for his freakish athleticism, mind-blowing speed, and meteoric rise to the top. Yet despite the fame and fortune that have come with his enormous success, Brock has shunned the media, choosing instead to remain intensely private about his life and his accomplishments. Now, for the first time, he tells his remarkable story in his own words, describing the journey from his South Dakota farmboy roots to becoming the most popular pay-per-view attraction in the world.

Truly enjoyed this book. Is what I expected. Lesnar is a private person and not out to write a work of literary genius. You get pure, honest, straightforward Lesar insight and opinion. From his roots to all aspects of his career, up through his loss to Cain Valesquez, all is enjoyable, direct and full of zeal. All I hoped for from a guy we honestly know little about. Gets a five as I am a fan and a mark, but I think most casual fans will enjoy it.
