What did you love best about Halo?

    Everything!

What other book might you compare Halo to and why?

    The other 5 Halo books.

    Any additional comments?

This book series is one of the single best series's I have! Total awesome action with just enough personal stuff to make you care about the caricatures but not make me screem: "I don't care about the color of socks you picked this time at JCPenney's!" You said "WHAT???" It seems to me, some authors have to little story. So, they STUFF it with garbage 'fill-in' that makes me fall asleep between the great battle scenes. The Halo series is SO great! Just thinking about it makes me want to stop listening to Honor Harinton series - On Basilisk Station(STUFFED with garbage 'fill-in'), to listen to the Halo series again. I have listen 3 times through. I am sure I will listen to it 20 times more if I live long enough!!! I've been listening through all 6 books in a row about every 2 years since I got them. It also makes me want to play the games again. I wish audible had the whole book series. The still need Halo: Cryptum. Soon hopefully!!

This book comes through as a real cliffhanger. The Idea of an invasion of earth is old but the way the protagonist get things back together is very good. a lot of original ideas. The author came up with a lot of fun new ways to combat the threat. And I love the way blonds REALLY have more fun!!! LOL!!

Awesome series of books, I have all three, but...

Typical for all authors these days. Trying to get 4 books out of a 3 book story. Lots of fill in! Too much personal details. DLA BLA, BLA BLA BLA, BLA.... More than once I yelled "Get on with it!!!" I don't know, maybe it is the stuff the chicks like, so they put it in. BORING!!! To much talk, not enough action! Don't get me wrong. This story is great! I am hoping the next book comes out soon. I will surely get it.

A little to slow for me. I like a ton of action. The battles in this book were good but it seems like his publishers contract was for 3 books, but the story was only good for 2 books. So, he had to do to much fill in. A good 2-3 hours or more could be cut here and there with much better results. Much more personal stuff in this book 2 of the series to really move fast. Book 1 was great. This book seemed to drag on a little. I will probably listen again because it is a really great series, but I will fast forward through some of this book. Hopefully book 3 "Hot Gate" will be faster paced.

Dying is easy. Coming back to life is hard. Miles Vorkosigan should know - having done both once already. Thanks to his quick-thinking staff and the artistry of a medical specialist, Miles' first death wasn't his last. But it does take some recovery, a fact he has been reluctant to admit. When he makes the mistake of returning too soon to duty, he finds himself summoned to face the security chief, Simon Illyan. But Miles' worst nightmares about Illyan are nothing compared to Illyan's own nightmares.

If you’ve listened to books by Lois McMaster Bujold before, how does this one compare?

    much slower

All the personality, non of the action. It was Very slow the first time and I fast forwarded much the second. There will be no third. Probably a good chick book.

I found a lot of the solutions to THE PROBLEM they were dealing with had much better and obvious solutions than the courses of action they took. It took a little ignoring of dumb stuff. But, on the whole it was pretty good.

Just think how nice it would be to be siting down to a good Audible si-fi book with your children and enjoying the excitement, adventure, and action. Then, suddenly, an hour into the book, without warning, the female star is bending over to receive the four mans excited hard c*cks from behind?!?!? What a fun family time you would be having then!!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING AUDIBLE???? Where is the X rating??? What kind of super genius writes a awesome Si-Fi book and makes it pornographic?!?!?!? HOW STUPID!!! If I wanted porno, I would get a Harlequin novel.(Not that I want porno at all!) Should I sue Audible for exposing my family to porn without warning? Maybe a class action law suit is what audible needs to get for exposing people to pornography without warning?!?! Don't get me wrong, people can have all the porn they like, I wont try to stop them. Just don't force and trick my family and me to listen to it without warning!!!
