"Mystery of Easter Island is solved by archeology"
Mysterious Polynesian People
Engineering of Rapanui people: how they curved and moved the statues are amazing.
Not really, there were too many examples of archeological surveys in other areas.
Archeological survey does not always reveal truth, because sometimes it is based on hypothesis.
"You will love the courageous Black Hawk"
Yes, I could know what happened to American Indians when whites came to America.
His voice is young. If I hear Hawk's real voice, the story has more impact.
Yes
I am sorry about the native americans. They were taken their lands. Their warriors, friends and families were killed. They had to leave the tombs where their ancestors' bones were burried. The cornfields they had cultivated were taken by the whites. Before whites came they lived peacefully. They were lovable people. But this is the history. On that fact stands present America.
"Contrast of French and American"
The first part was boring, no excitment, but latter part was exciting as it comes to climax.
Slowly comes to the climax
The story developed in the latter part. The contrast of French personality and American personality is worth noticing.
I didn't see the movie, but I think movie is more enjoyable than book.
"Adventures in a mysterious building"
Yes. Each character has personality.I can feel from the narrator.
Nate. He has curiosity and leadership. I like him. His relation with Veek is natural.
Strange mystery. The story developed with conversation.
Is there a mysterious building other than this?
"Great Spectacle"
Yes, each character has personality. The story covers almost two generations. Historical background has power in the story. Love, affection, hate, greed, mercy, tolerance, persistence, courage, sadness, happiness...all the elements of human nature is found in the characters.
Jean Valjean's escape secne with Marius in the sewage.
Too long
I didn't understand French.
"There is another world in the sea"
I, inabitant of the land, have seen another world.
The story progressed rapidly, but the mystery part did'nt come quickly.
This is the first time I listened to Frank Muller. I could see the characters appear before my eyes and speak and move. I want to listen to him more.
Crime novels are gloomy, but especially in the Polar Star.
"A small mystery turned into a big mystery"
The mystery of goose was an interesting plot.
Sharlock Homes, of course. I have been his fan since my school days.
The characters are alive. They came out of the audio and appeared before me as living persons.
Yes, I couldn't stop listening, and it was short.
"Impressive, encouraging, heart warming"
It's better to hear the stories directly from the persons themselves than the narrator. They express their real emmotion, love, anger, sadness...
There were many memorable moments; William Jacobson took care of his wife who had Alzheimer. He didn't feel burden because he loved her. Mary Luis gave up her son for adoption. She told her agoney to give up her son. Joice Bartler, mother of four, worked hard in the shipyard to support her kids. They are all very strong in the difficult circumstances.
It's all love.
"Good use of brain improves your performance"
The brain is an amazing organ, but how brain functions is explained technically, not in easy language.
Too much special study about brain. I wish he explained it easily for layman.
calm, monotonous, lack of enthusiasm
I will work my brain in applying what is suggested in the book.
I understood how brain functions, but it's too technical. I couldn't understand well. I want to read it again when I had a good comand of English.
"Keep you suspended till end"
No, I already knew the story and the ending
It kept me suspended till end. Some suspense stories unravel the mysteries little by little, but in this story mysteries were not solved along the way, and the climax comes at the end. That's the interesting part of this book.
All were performed well. Kusanagi was a powerful, confident detective. Ishigami was somewhat mysterious. Yasuko was quiet, soft and somewhat docile person. Yukawa was a logical man, young and gentle. That was my impression of the characters.
Ishigami acted well as a hero, but I like Yukawa's logics, assumption and detection. He was always cool.
I am Japanese. I lived in Tokyo, so I know the scene very well. Every scene depicted I could see in my mind as if I were there.
"The fate of domesticated wolf that inducs pathos"
Courage to live
Weeden Scott, he has love for White Fang
All of them well performed by John Lee
When White Fang learned love.
I was encouraged by White Fang's way of vital living . He learned how to adjust his life with different masters and different circumstances.
