This book was very well written, and the narration was amazing. You definetly get right into this story, and if you ever played the video game you will know most of the characters and details already. This book will definetly not bore you to death with a droning narrator or over emphasis on trivial details. The switching between narrators, and the outstanding job they both perform, truly turns this great action story into a wonderful and entertaining listen. I only wish they made more books with this awesome author/narrators combo.
Great continuation of the series, lots of building up of the plot. This book seemed to be the calm before the storm, there wasnt as much action as the others but all of the maneuvering and scheming was very intriguing. The calm is broken, though, before the end in a surprising outcome. The characters change even more in this book, and seem to be turning into what they were truly destined to be. As with the other books, the narration is outstanding (those two seriously deserve a raise). Try to make this one last though, the next book (crown of swords)doesn't come out until october.
Let me first say the narrators should get a raise! Kramer and Redding truley do their job well and make this entire aduio series well worth every penny. Sometimes I cant even tell there are only two people reading it, they seriously make it seem like there are 30+ different people doing each character. With that aside, the first two books were my favorites. This book reminds me of Lord of the Rings, but the similarity ends pretty fast once the story really unravels. I don't want to spoil it, so Ill be breif. This book is basically a non-stop adventure and a great gateway to the rest of the series. Its full of the tiny details most fantasy writers leave out, and it has plenty of the good ol monsters and magic. Just a warning though, once you hear this one youll be hooked!
