Ms. Porter captures the nuances of the text and brings characters to life. She is easy to listen to and I look for books she narrates.
Plot was complex with many layers, as in life in general
Davinia does an excellent job bringing characters to life, no matter who the character is, a great talent.
Among the top 20
No, I have read all her books, but Davinia did bring the characters to life.
No, when I find a good book and a wonderful narrator, I like to drag it out so it lasts longer. When you buy a book on tape, you never know if the narrator will ge good or the book interesting. With this book I already knew the plot, read it before, but I like Davinia so much, I wanted her to bring it to life again.
I really did not like much about the book, it dragged on and on, like water torture, a drip of information.
Move it along, since I was not reading the book itself, I am not sure if it was the book or the more the narrator that bored me.
No a thing, except never listen to Ari Fliakos books, or but a Mark Allen Smith book again.
Sometimes the synopsis is intriguing so you take a chance that it will be a good book and experience listening to it, and sometimes you lose, this time I lost. The book dragged, the narrator was a turn off, I did not finish the book, a first for me.
I do not normally read this genre, but I took a chance on something new. The story is relatively simple and well narrated
Learning bout the supernatural world the wizard lived in.
I loved the narrator, tone and inflections brought the story alive
