Here, celebrating the 20th anniversary of its debut as a New York Times best seller, is the revised, updated, and expanded edition of the classic anti-textbook that changed the way we look at history. First published two decades ago, when the “closing of the American mind” was in the headlines, Don’t Know Much About® History proved Americans don’t hate history—just the dull version that was dished out in school.

Of the great figure in 20th-century American history perhaps none is more complex and controversial than Malcolm X. Constantly rewriting his own story, he became a criminal, a minister, a leader, and an icon, all before being felled by assassins' bullets at age 39. Through his tireless work and countless speeches he empowered hundreds of thousands of black Americans to create better lives and stronger communities while establishing the template for the self-actualized, independent African American man.

Where does Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is number 1 so far.

What did you like best about this story?

It gives deep root information beyond what I thought I would get.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Malcom X started MMI and when he was over seas and saw how all people treated each other. Giving him a since of different treatment towards whites.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Getting to know Malcom X.
