"Schulz and Peanuts"
After hearing about this book from my wife I thought this book would have been full of all kinds of crazy sex cheating. He stayed with his difficult oppressive wife for 20 years and they grew apart, oh well... not the sex filed tabloid it was made out to be. Don't understand why the family is upset, Schulz was AMAZING... the book does a great service to him and I think he would have liked it if he had read it. 50 years of Peanuts, holy crap! A must read for any cartoonist or animation fan.
"It's Chaplin!"
I've read My Autobiography and others, this book is really good. Chaplin was a player, sure, but why get all bent on that. This is a great book about one of the fathers of comedic cinema, a person that inspired the guys who inspired the guys that probably inspired the guys that inspired you. Old Hollywood at it's best, and there isn't much by way of film history on audio books.
"Detailed is good"
Must read for animation and Disney fans. A truly inspiring life story, I hate what the Disney Corporation has become, but this guy was seriously ground breaking and our lives our different because of him. Loads of good details about his life and how he became the king of animation revolutionizing the industry and changing the way we think.
"Better than nothing!"
This book was a fun read and with a total lack of any film history books available as audio book, it shines. Really enjoyed it and may listen to it again, where else can you here about the early days of Warner Brothers and the history of American Cinema. Great technical facts about early film processes, can't believe they used to sync records to films and thought that was a good idea!
