"For die-hard Linda Howard Fans"
I listened to this book because I've listened to or read just about everything Linda Howard has ever written. Up against some of my favorites like "Kiss Me While I Sleep" and "Death Angel", this book is definitely not one of Ms. Howard's best. It is an odd mix of humorous romance entwined with a plot that features a psychotic serial killer. I couldn't decide if I should laugh or feel edgy. The reader did a good job with voicing the multiple characters, which made it easy to listen to. This is a fun 'read' and a good one if you are a true Linda Howard fan. If this is your first time with this author, try my favorites first.
"Just okay"
After having enjoyed the first installment in this series, "Fury of Fire", I was looking forward to seeing what would happen to the characters in this, the second 'episode'. Actually, it turned out to be a whole lot of 'not so much'. If you like lots of hot descriptions of sex, you won't go wrong with this one. If you like a story with some meat, pass this one by.
As expected, it was a lead in to another book in the series.
He does well with male and female voices; I could always tell who was who in the story as he read.
