Always interested in getting some inside info in 1st SFOD-d, also a very good story, listening the next one now, also a page turner.
Lover book about the Netherlands, I think the Dutch have facinating history and I always enjoy learning more about their past.
A bit implausible and a sudden ending, wont be reading his sequels but the story was engaging, but nothing special.
Very well researched and entertaining, one of his better works, slightly better than the Coffee Trader but a bit better better than Devils Company.
Great read, the english accents in the first half are a bit distracting but the story gets better as one reads on and the characters are introduced.
Interesting read, a bit short though, could be considered somewhat anti christian in its message in that it provided an alternate reality to christian thought.
This is perhaps the first novel written about the post cultural rev period focusing on Chinese men from an American womens perspective. Much ring true in my experience, I was over there in 1996 hanging with my wifes old boy friends, this is the first novel I have read that
looks at certain aspects of China unknown to most Americans. The story was engaging also, not bad from a lady that specializes in cook books.
Better than the Way of Kings, this is likely Brandons best work. Seem these Morman authors love super powers similar to Orson novels, must be built into there DNA with the likes of Joe Smith and his wresting skills.
Not as good as his new Mathew C book but this one was entertaining, characters were believable and interesting, a little cold war dated but worth a listen.
Not as good as the coffee trader or the whiskey rebels but this one is worth the credit, has it moments, solid 3 star novel.
I guess OSC was in a rush or too busy when he wrote this one. I think I will return it as the ended in midsentence, of course one I return it I cannot review it so I am getting my review in now, save yourself the time and stay away from this one.
