"Excellent narration of an all time CLASSIC"
The narrator has a great voice and good pronunciation of french. It was a pleasure to hear the tale told, my french is not at all good so when I read the book years ago I would stumble over all those french names in my head.
I found I kept finding all kinds of opportunities to listen when normally I only listen to books in my car. Even though I knew the story it kept me enthralled and I just wanted to keep listening and hear it unfold.
Well worth listening too!!!
"beware buying this book"
The story is coming together amazingly, the pace is way faster than we have been used to, but then we all know that the next book is the last, so the pace has to pick up in order for the story to be complete in only one more book.
I got more used to the voices of the narrators as this is my second audio book for WOT, having listened to the Gathering Storm. I still find the voices a little stilted for some characters, but I kind of got past that too.
HOWEVER LISTENER BEWARE
This is supposed to be an unabridged version and yet they DO NOT READ THE GLOSSARY!
This is a CRIME.
Anyone who has been following this series for years has been waiting with great impatience and anticipation to find out who killed Asmodean - it is one of the world's best kept secrets and has been debated for years and years online as we waited for the answer.
Again anyone following this series is by now well aware that in this book the answer is revealed ... BUT ONLY IN THE GLOSSARY.
SO I was totally outraged that the glossary was not read out at the end of the book as it was a VITAL part of the book (the glossary in WOT has always been vital for the gems of information it contains and the glossary changes in every book).
SO BEWARE - if you are a true fan and wanting to READ the answer to the most intriguing question in your mind you will be left high and dry.
I had to finally succumb and phone my daughter and BEG for her to read the glossary entry to me. It was not the great height of light being shed that it would have been to have the glossary read out to me.
SHAME ON THE PRODUCERS OF THIS AUDIO BOOK FOR CALLING THIS UNABRIDGED.
PS no I won't say here who killed him, you will have to find it out by buying the hard copy :)
"the storm is indeed gathering"
I've been a fan of this series for many years. Until this book however I always read the books myself, so it was a fair leap for me to move over to the audio version.
The narrators are OK, for many characters I enjoy their voices, but sometimes they are a little stilted, but it didn't stop my immense enjoyment of the unfolding of the story.
I have just one HUGE BEEF with the audio version.
It says it is UNABRIDGED and yet they do NOT read the glossary.
This has annoyed me no end and caused a lot of muttering and cursing as the glossary is an incredibly important part of these books.
"not quite second income"
I would recommend the book as there are a lot of good tips offered in it
Anyone looking at developing a web presence will still gain benefits from this book, but it may not be quite what you think by the book title.
The book begins with information that would work well for a second income stream, but becomes information on quite complicated activities - running bootcamps and seminars for high $, offering specialist consultancy services etcTo me these were taking you out of a second income stream and into a quite different area. The book begins by talking about making blogs and information products a bit at a time in your 'spare time', but progresses to being activities that would realistically need your full time attention.
