It’s been almost a year since October "Toby" Daye averted a war, gave up a county, and suffered personal losses that have left her wishing for a good day’s sleep. She’s tried to focus on her responsibilities - training Quentin, upholding her position as Sylvester’s knight, and paying the bills - but she can’t help feeling like her world is crumbling around her, and her increasingly reckless behavior is beginning to worry even her staunchest supporters. To make matters worse, Toby’s just been asked to find another missing child…only this time it’s the changeling daughter of her fellow knight....

As the sixth book in this series I was looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble Toby would find herself. And I was not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoy this series and can't wait to see what happens next.

The narrator Mary Robinette Kowal is wonderful and I enjoy listening to her. I have no problem distinguishing characters (although the one southern/texas accent threw me for a while). And as a narrator really conveys the action.

I would really recommend this entire series.

The ever after, the demonic realm that parallels our own, is shrinking, and if it disappears, so does all magic. It’s up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix the ever-after before the fragile balance between magic users and humans fails. Of course, there’s also the small fact that she caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it.

I waited a really long time before downloading this book. I always hate when a really good series is coming to an end and I think I was in denial. When I could finally wait no longer I savoured it like the best dessert at the end of a wonderful meal served in the company of really good friends. And Marguerite Gavin is the chocolate fudge and whipped topping on that dessert.

This is one of my all time favorites and will listen to it time and again.

The Master of Natchez, Mississippi has a nasty problem on his hands. Rogue vampires - those who follow the Naturaleza and believe that humans should be nothing more than prey to be hunted - are terrorizing his city. Luckily, he knows the perfect skinwalker to call in to take back the streets. But what he doesn’t tell Jane is that there’s something different about these vamps. Something that makes them harder to kill - even for a pro like Jane.

Blood Trade was a great addition to this series. I really enjoy serial books and this is one of my favorites. Faith Hunter continues to find new and humorous employment for Jane. I love the humor and often find myself laughing out loud.

Khristine Hvam as the narrator is awesome. She has the two things I look for in a narrator - the ability to differentiate the characters and the ability to express the action.

If you like a fun series - this is a good one.

Although this is a short listen - it was good. I enjoyed the story and really liked the characters. The narrator was easy to listen to and did an excellent job portraying the different characters.

If you need a quick 'read' I would recommend this book.

His vast knowledge and magical skills are unfortunately matched by his talent for making powerful enemies and alienating friends. With little more than his integrity left, he accepts an offer of work from Lt. Karin Murphy of Chicago's Special Investigations Unit. The fact that Jim Butcher can combine every concievable myth about werewolves and create a single story including them all is writing at it's finest. And James Marsters is the best way to listen to Harry Dresden.

Tana French's debut, In the Woods, hit the New York Times best-seller list and drew rave reviews from the Times (London) and Booklist. Picking up six months later, this riveting sequel finds Detective Cassie Maddox still scarred by her last case. When her boyfriend calls her to a chilling murder scene, Cassie is forced to face her inner demons. A young woman has been found stabbed to death outside Dublin, and the victim looks just like Cassie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment in the Dublin Murder Series. I liked the fact that the book didn't just pick up from the ending of Into the Woods. But I was already invested in the character and I liked having her story continued. I enjoyed the interaction between the characters and I love not having the answer to the mystery spoon fed to me. Tana French is a very subtle author and is masterful at character development. Heather O'Neill does a wonderful job and I had no trouble distinguishing characters, both female and male.

New York Times best-selling author Tana French has won the prestigious Edgar, Barry, Macavity, and Anthony awards. As her third novel featuring the Dublin Murder Squad opens, 19-year-old Frank Mackey is waiting in vain for Rosie, who he’s supposed to run away to London with. But when she doesn’t show, Frank leaves Dublin without her—thinking never to return.

Of the four books in this series - this was probably my least favorite. Maybe because it was the third book in the series, maybe because the characters were less endearing . Not sure - but this one took me longer to get through than any of the others. The Narrator did a great job.

As dusk approaches a small Dublin suburb in the summer of 1984, mothers begin to call their children home. But on this warm evening, three children do not return from the dark and silent woods. When the police arrive, they find only one of the children, unable to recall a single detail of the previous hours.

Twenty years later, the found boy, Rob Ryan, is a detective on the Dublin Murder Squad and keeps his past a secret. But when a 12-year-old girl is found murdered in the same woods, he and Detective Cassie Maddox find themselves investigating a case chillingly similar to the previous unsolved mystery.

I read this book on the recommendation of my daughter. I found it facinating. Tana French's character development is amazing. She delves into her main character with a subtle and yet relentless pen. By the end of the story you not only know the main character, but understand them in a way that you would a best friend. The narrator Steven Crossley was fabulous.

I listened to all four of Tana French's books. I loved that each successive book was about a character that was introduced in the previous book. If you are looking for a good, involved story that keeps you guessing and "then having that how did I not see that coming" moment, then you will love reading these books. Tana French is a craftsman at telling one story and once the book is finished realizing that there was so much more going on under the surface. The Narrator was excellent, especially considering the accent. I had no trouble telling the individual characters apart. It was a pleasure listening to this book.
