Three children, running in the woods behind their school, stumble upon a partially buried female body, eyes and mouth glued shut. What she doesn't yet realize is that this will mark the end of innocence for an entire community, as the ties that bind families and friends are tested by secrets uncovered in the wake of a serial killer's escalating activity.

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back, packing a whole lot of attitude. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations.

Where does Two for the Dough rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

Around the top. I liked One For the Money more, but the humor along with mystery keeps my attention as I catch myself laughing out loud - especially when Grandma gets involved. I busted out when Grandpa commented on wanting to be cremated. Too funny!

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Grandma

    Overall

This listen was the most disgusting piece of "I don't know what" that I have ever listened to. Filthy depictions of characters eating, wearing, and playing with explicite, human, body parts.... gross. I am so disappointed that "Audible" would even allow this in their reporatoire that it temps me to disconnect my subscription with Audible. The introduction of this book in no way warns the listener of the filth they are about to invade their mind with. If Mr, Armstrong used his. grotesque, twisted mind and exuburance for imagination and put it towards the positive, he would be brilliant. The narrator is the only one getting a star from me.

One of America’s most popular authors, Jodi Picoult has earned a reputation for crafting riveting, topical fiction. In House Rules she examines how being different can have dire consequences. Teenager Jacob Hunt has Asperger’s syndrome. A forensic science wizard, he follows his scanner to show up at crime scenes and give law enforcement officials his advice.

Having family members with autism, the author, along with perfect narration, has opened my heart and mind to a better understanding. Humor, mystery, facts and intrigue contribute to my second read. BRAVO JODI!

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Loved it! The narration is what did it for me. Born in the 60's in the Northwest, I was not aware of what was taking place in the south. Now living in the south, I better understand history as it stands. "Bravo" to the author and narrators. My favorite read by far. HIGHLY recommend!

On the eve of her ninth birthday, unassuming Rose Edelstein, a girl at the periphery of schoolyard games and her distracted parents' attention, bites into her mother's homemade lemon-chocolate cake and discovers she has a magical gift: she can taste her mother's emotions in the cake. She discovers this gift to her horror, for her mother - her cheerful, good-with-crafts, can-do mother - tastes of despair and desperation.

I enjoyed the book, great story, but would have gotten more out of it if there would have been a different reader. The reader was very slow and lost me several times.
