When murderous bands of militiamen begin roaming the western United States and attacking government agencies, it will take a dedicated group of the nation's finest and toughest civilian airmen to put an end to the homegrown insurgency. U.S. Air Force Lieutenant-General Patrick McLanahan vows to take to the skies to join the fight, but when his son, Bradley, also signs up, they find themselves caught in a deadly game against a shadowy opponent. With A Time for Patriots, the New York Times bestselling master of the modern thriller Dale Brown brings the battle home....

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It is always good to visit with old friends, even when they have fallen on hard times. Overall, it was a good time, but I was concerned to see some of my friends acting completely criminal, on American soil. It was entirely too frivolous and out of character.

Would you be willing to try another book from Dale Brown? Why or why not?

Always willing and eager. Dale Brown is great writer and is always believable.

Have you listened to any of William Dufris’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

William Dufris is always excellent. he has his characters down cold and keeps them consistent from book to book. I narrate Audiobooks and this is one of the harder things to do.His timing and intensity are always spot on for the pace of the book he is reading. With Dale Brown, he keeps it tense and dramatic, where it is needed. On books, like Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat, he is perfectly over the top.I have made a special effort to select Audiobooks that he has narrated, even if they are new to me.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Not this one. This book does not showcase all of the best reasons for why I love this series.

    Any additional comments?

It is sad to see (or hear) characters departing from their values for less than stellar reasons, and for well-established characters to be eliminated by less than world-class villains.
