Being a loving pit bull owner, it was wonderful to listen to a story that so accurately described the bonding between man and dog. Ms. Wilson described the true traits of the breed when in a happy environment. Well written!
main characters: both were stellar; more from both Carl and Assad would be great
complex interchange among characters
he had wonderful voice, ancents
at the end, when it seems Mareda might have regained her life.
Wonderful book, made me love pit bulls. The caregivers for these mistreated animals should be given an award. The love given to these dogs (and received from them as well) took a lot of courage, but it all paid off. Hopefully this story will inspire more people to donate time to rehabilitate injured or abused animals. Johnny (Rotten) Justice rocks.
Of the 125 books I've listened to, this one is my favorite. The human characters were beautifully developed, but Enzo the dog will steal your heart. The story brings out a full range of emotions; I laughed many times, and cried when it was over. My husband is listening to it now, and he thinks it's great too. Don't miss it.
I've been an audible member for 3 years, and this is the first review I've submitted, largely because this book was such a huge disappointment. After reading the glowing reviews I expected much more than I got. Many passages of the story were redundant, and the sexual content seemed sophomoric at best. I managed to get through to the end, but it was difficult. I didn't much care for the reader, either so I definitley won't take on the sequel.
