When the National Security Agency's invincible code-breaking machine encounters a mysterious code it cannot break, the agency calls its head cryptographer, Susan Fletcher, a brilliant, beautiful mathematician. What she uncovers sends shock waves through the corridors of power. The NSA is being held hostage...not by guns or bombs, but by a code so complex that if released would cripple U.S. intelligence.

Book is good it is the naration that is horrible, the narator talks with a lisp and distracts from the book. I not stand the constant S's added to every word HATE THE NARATOR

Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

I was scared to death listening to this book on how the US is so unprotected and then when the news reported a North Korean ship heading to Hawii it made this book all to real. A great read and a better listen to book. Highly recomment

Women are dying. Women who have nothing in common except the fact that they once worked for the military. And they knew Jack Reacher. How and why these women are in danger completely baffles the elite FBI team working the case. There is no trace evidence. There are no links between victims. Their bodies have no fatal wounds. And the killer entered their homes and exited again like a summer breeze.

I found this book to be very interesting and entertaining keeping my interest high, and throughout the entire book. I would recommend this book as a good suspense chiller.

In a crowded courtroom in Mississippi, a jury returns a shocking verdict against a chemical company accused of dumping toxic waste into a small town's water supply, causing the worst "cancer cluster" in history. The company appeals to the Mississippi Supreme Court, whose nine justices will one day either approve the verdict or reverse it.

    "The Appeal by Grisham"
    Overall

The book starte with the interest of all his other books but I found this one to drop off midway, and the end was as if he decided not to add a twist, but just ended as all real Jury trials and appeals end, so no end run no excitement at the end, just a complete disappointment for the quality of writter he normally is. Take my word not worth reading or listening to.
