What made the experience of listening to The Power of Body Language the most enjoyable?

I learned a lot from this book that I haven't from other books. Although I enjoyed the other book by the FBI agent, Tonya has a much more pleasurable and sexy voice that kept my attention longer.

I'll be listening to this book several times a year, at least, to keep refreshing me on how to be a better communicator.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that she not only gave descriptions of body language but also that she gave a perspective from the male AND female side. This has helped me to understand how my body language is perceived by the opposite sex.

Caesar Augustus has been called history's greatest emperor. It was said he found Rome made of clay and left it made of marble. With a senator for a father and Julius Caesar for a great-uncle, he ascended the ranks of Roman society with breathtaking speed. His courage in battle is still questioned yet his political savvy was second to none. He had a lifelong rival in Mark Antony and a 51-year companion in his wife, Livia. And his influence extended perhaps further than that of any ruler who has ever lived.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Yes!

There are so many reasons why this is one of my favorite books. Consider something like "Game of Thrones" and "Gladiator", but REAL history. Every aspect of humanity is touched.

I learned so much about what Roman life was like, I actually felt like I was watching events unfold at some points.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Augustus?

It's like a continious string of emotions.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Octavians wife during his funeral.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed a lot many times. Shocked many other times.

What did you like best about The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich (Expanded and Updated)? What did you like least?

The narrator did a great job with narration. Sounding confident, and keeping it interesting.

I thought that the author could have spent more time on HOW to make money and automating the income streams. I did not like that he spent so long on telling you where to get information for when you are living overseas. Hours..literally.. the problem is that I didn't feel 100% comfortable with his ideas by the time he got to this part.

I feel like I'd rather be hearing more about how to make a kick ass business (which he does cover..albeit could have talked longer about it). Rather than telling me for hours how to live overseas and what websites would be great for information.

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't. but the narrator has done a great job of matching the authors own confidence with his narration. He did a great job of having a varied voice, with lots of emotions, very clear and strong. I'd follow this man into battle if I had to.

In fact I hope that Ray will go on to do great things of his own.

Did The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich (Expanded and Updated) inspire you to do anything?

Yes! I WILL become part of the new rich.

Women are always giving off signals, and men are always missing them. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes.It has a lot of good information.

What did you like best about this story?

The biggest thing I got from this book is--go for the girl that is interested in you. That in every situation there is 2-3 women that are interested in me..just my the law of averages. Pay attention to the signals, approach the girl that is obviously interested in you. Less rejection. If you go for the hottest girl that has no interest in you it's just a waste of your time.Pay attention. If shes giving you more than a couple of glances now is your chance. I've listened/read to a bunch of 'seduction' books and this book made the most sense of any of them. Although I have gotten a lot of good information from other books. For some reason they key that has been missing is, pay attention to the girl that is actually interested in you!I'm also a blockhead so maybe it just took awhile to sink in.

What about Leil Lowndes’s performance did you like?

Don't even try to imagine the voice as the girl on the cover. The main problem I had was listening to her voice. I kept wanting to imagine a cute sexy girl telling me all these girl pickup secrets--but lets face it--google Leil Lowndes and she looks pretty much like her voice. Raspy, maybe been smoking a few too many years, trying to be sexy when you know for a fact she isn't. I mean she's fine for an older women, but what age bracket is she shooting for with this book? 20-40? It's sort of like listening to my mother tell me how to pick up chicks. Which is a little unsettling. I mean she's a great author, the book has lots of great info--but I think her voice detracted from the experience and made it hard to listen to for several hours. I ended up listening in several segments. Although I have to confess that I have listened t the book 2-3x now--it really is mostly great. I just wish she'd stuck with the writing and got someone who sounded the part..

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would highly recommend this book to everyone. Not only did a learn a lot about myself (I'm a man) but I also learned a lot about women! For example..they did some studies on seasonal depression disorder and effectiveness of artificial lights for revealing depression. For men the artificial lights helped their depression and the levels of (the name of the hormone is escaping me) did rise showing a body response and men reported feeling better. However, for women the artificial lights did not help enough to help their depression. and the levels of the 'hormone that is escaping me' did not increase. For some reason the female body is more receptive to natural light.Interesting stuff!

    Which scene was your favorite?

Mostly the ones were she's reading the fantasies of various women. but really this book is jam packed of awesome. (phrasing!)

Alexander, Hannibal, Caesar: Each was a master of war. Each had to look beyond the battlefield to decide whom to fight and why; to know what victory was and when to end the war; to determine how to bring stability to the lands he conquered. Alexander, Hannibal, and Caesar had to be not only generals but statesmen. And yet each was a battlefield commander, a strategist, a leader of men - in short, a warrior.

I loved this book and have listened to it about 5 times now, and have learned something new each and every time.

I've learned about history, how my heroes were not only good--but also evil. I've learned that men are still men. Masters still make mistakes but strive to learn from those and to carry on nonetheless.

    Which scene was your favorite?

This book covers everything from love, inspiration and sex to war, battle and death. From battle tactics to spying and Cleopatra. You wont be bored.

What made the experience of listening to The Personal MBA: Master the Art of Business the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed that he covered other topics directly related to business, but maybe not covered by other business books I've read. He covers goal setting, basic communication as well as running a business. I've needed a refresher to motivate me and this was it!

Well worth the time spent and I'll be listening to this over and over again.

What about Josh Kaufman’s performance did you like?

    Very well read.
