"I wish I could have written it"
I don't know why I get so surprised every time he writes something that isn't scary ( And I love his scary stuff) and it is REALLY GOOD WRITING! He is such a good writer and this is right to the point. I wish everyone had to read it.
"Amazing"
It was one of those amazing stories you don't want to end. I never knew what was going to happen next. It always went somewhere I didn't expect. I loved listening to it. The narration was incredible. It was just one of those books I am so happy I didn't miss.
"Not what I expected"
I was dissapointed. I though it would be a story about the Holocaust. I read a lot about that. But this was just a romance novel set at that time. I don't like romance novels usually so I could not listen for long. It might have gotten better but there are too many good books out there for me to keep listening for too long.
"Beautiful!"
I started this book and was surprised I liked it. Nothing really happens but still you could not stop listening. I did not want it to end. It was a beautiful story. It is almost like reading a poem. One that speaks to you so you read it again.
"Great!"
Reading this was like watching the movie over again in the car LOL. Line after line was the same. I wonder why they can't follow the book in so many other movies. This was a great book so why change the movie version? In this case they didn't and it was great. I was also surprised W P Blatty was such an awesome narrator. As soon as the book started it felt like no other person would have made it justice. I loved it and was sad when it was over.
"Didn't grip!"
I just could not get into it. I felt bad. I really thought I would like it. It is such an important story. It was all over the place and the narrator sounded like he was reading the phone book. He did not help in making it interesting.
"Too long and BORING"
A lot of people will like this book. The story has potential but it goes on forever in such detail that I got tired of it.
Not at all.
The narrator actually wasn't bad. He did very well
It did. I think a lot of people would like it. The story at many times got very good but then it got boring again. It was just too long
At one point I had to go online and read the plot becasue I could not figure out the caracters. It was hard to remember who was who. It was easier to follow after that. I made sure I did not find out what happend at the end so it was still a surprise. I am looking forward to renting the movie because I thought it was a pretty good story but it lost me and if it wasn't for the fact I wanted to say I had read it I would have given up on it.
"Great book"
What a great book. I thought it would be somewhat slow becasue it was written in the 1800. But instead I was reminded that we probably are still much the same. I almost fell off my chair when I looked up the author and found out it was a man. He must have really understood women. He did not make them out to be weaklings but very strong and interesting.Listening to the chapters about the old man made me laugh outloud. There is so much humor in this book. I started to listen to it and I liked it right off the bat.I could not wait to get in to the car ( Where I listen to my audio books) So I could hear what happend next. The narrators made an exceptional job. The story is great. This is a book I would recommend to anyone. Now I can't wait to see if I can find the movie ( Or was it a series? ) I LOVED IT
